I have a very old Presto Minnie Max-- it is amazing! Simple to use attachments, easy to clean, tkes up a tiny amount of space! My mom purchased it for me at least 30 years ago. I will cry when it dies! I think ebay is the only place to find it anymore!

I also got the audio version and started listening Friday. I listen on my drive to work and somehow the Boston traffic does not bother me when I have a good book to listen to!

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir Oh my gosh how I loved this book! It was my favorite book of the year and so far I've read 64 books this year. I almost didn't read it because I am completely not science oriented. My worst grades at school were in science, and I hadn't read any of his other books yet. I thought all of the science in it would go completely over my head. Surprisingly that didn't happen at all because this author does an incredible job of breaking down all of the science and explaining it extremely well. The book starts out with a bang on the very first page and never lets up. I adored this book and this is one I'll buy in hardback to keep for myself. 5 big, big stars. I can't wait to read his previous 2 books. I truly enjoyed this book and agree that he made it understandable! Also loved Billy Summers. I get too scared of King's horror stories but really love so many of his recent books!

I use a black plastic Pampered Chef rotating tool organizer for most of the things I want at my fingertips. This is what I have used for many years. Very sturdy. I use this as well- mine is white. It holds so much! Back in the day when I went to retreats-- I would just bag the whole thing up and take it with me!

Thanks for starting this. I'm reading my third James Michener novel - this one is Chesapeake. I think people either love or hate Michener. I loved Hawaii (10 years ago) and Texas (5 years ago) and I'm loving Chesapeake now. I am a lover! Centennial is my favorite!!

I recently purchased Levi jeans from Macy's, online in petite. I got black and dark wash and I love them. They are called 311 shaping skinny but I find they are not super tight on my legs like a skinny jean. I have a well nourished belly and I find these jeans fit me perfectly! They are more of a straight leg and I am impressed with the fit and how well they wash. There is some stretch but they do not get saggy while wearing them. I am thrilled with them!

I remember in the early 1980s pretty much every gal in the night clubs doused themselves in Halston or Chloe. I was glad when that trend seemed to die down. Agree that older people lose some of their sense of smell and do not realize how strong their fragrance is. I do not get migraines- but I do get a sore throat when fragrances are too strong. Many people think more of everything is better!!!

I have been getting dips at the salon for about 2 months-- I am amazed how good my nails look and how strong they are! I have always had thin nails that tore easily-- even trying many of the suggestions above. I did acrylics for years and they were worse when I decided to stop with the acrylics. The dip makes me happy! And not thick like some acrylic nails were....

I love them too. Would love the recipe digirlwiz . here it is; I have not made them yet- please let me know if anyone tries them. NOT my recipe--- I got it from the Paper Source Store. No credit is on the paper I received- so I am thinking it is by the Jr Mints folks!!! 3 3/4 c all purpose floor 1.5 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp salt 1 c unsalted butter, room temperature 3/4 c granulated sugar 1c light brown sugar 2 lg eggs 1.5 tbs vanilla extract 1.5 c choc chips 2 boxes (3.5 oz) peppermint crunch jr mints 6 lg candy canes- crushed sea salt to sprinkle on cookies preheat oven 350 line baking sheet with parchment or a silicone baking mat mix together flour, baking soda, salt in another bowl- cream butter and sugars until smooth, beat in eggs and vanilla. slowly add dry ingredients to wet. Stir in choc chips. tuck a mint into about 1 tablesp of cookie dough-form into ball and roll in crushed candy canes. Sprinkle with sea salt. Bake 8-10 minutes; cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

I sent out my international cards last week. Have been working hard making them but my brother unexpectedly passed away on 12/1. Super sad but making cards helps me cope. I am sending about 30 store bought cards-and I am continuing to work on cards I had elements colored, cut, etc but the going is slow. Mailing a bunch out today. I love receiving all of your cards- definitely brightens my days!

Has she read any Jodi Picoult books? She covers a lot of different issues and has written many books. I like Brad Metzler books- US history with interesting story lines. I do not read a lot of non fiction books- hope someone else can help there! I would be interested in reading about strong women!

I finished listening to Molly's Game....interesting since I know nothing about the world of poker. I just started Spinning Silver based on a few suggestions-- so far I am liking it. Adding Eagle and Crane to my list of books to read....the list keeps getting longer but I love hearing everyone's thoughts on books!!

love it! I listen in the car, on planes, any place I am waiting for more than 15 minutes, when I craft, when I am just relaxing.... I listen on my phone and my tablet. Love it in my car- makes long drives enjoyable!!! My eyes are often tired at the end of a day and while I still enjoy a real book- I am so happy with audible books!
