... So many stamps and dies out there to choose from. Agreed, especially florals, leaves, butterflies, & sentiments.

Note that stamps from VB (& all American Craft brands) are acrylic, not photopolymer.

So is this where we are in the evolution of paper crafting? Back to crafting PAPER? I remember this trend from 20+ years ago. Loved the feel of the "handmade" papers we could purchase then. Loved how they tore and crinkled and layered, the depth they gave a layout. But I have no desire to try to make it myself... Same

I like when Sizzix collaborates with other companies. ... I love a good collaboration ... ... It is nice to see companies working together. ... Agree/same.

Memory-Place is not my style, so I just glance at the thumbnail & never click to view individual papers. It is a Japanese company, so it may rely on online translations that yield spelling/grammar errors.

Why does that all feel so so familiar? ... Same. It seems like a re-print/re-package of previous products.

So you use the shredded paper to make new paper? Oddly, there's no explanation just the image on the front of the Stationery Kit. Given the products offered, it appears you purchase a $50-60 starter kit (either 5x7 or 8.5 x 11 stationery) with the option of molds for shaped papers & use the black, white, or kraft shredded paper - plus dye/pigment, flakes, confetti, etc. additives, if desired - to make new paper.

Shredded paper? Why would anyone pay for shredded paper? Some of it is $19.99. Buy a mini shredder and do it yourself. Agreed; the mini shredder is likely less than the cost of one package of black/white/kraft base shredded paper. Plus, as Margie points out, shredded paper is often already on hand. If not, it could be purchased in bulk at office supply or mailing stores for less.

My general approach regarding photos is to decide the next few stories that I want to tell/scrap, choose the photos that support them, & order the prints (typically 4x6 with little to no editing) at a local camera store. ETA: I never print photos at home.

Typically, I prefer borderless matte photos with a narrow white (or another neutral, such as vanilla, brown, grey, or black) textured cardstock mat; sometimes I double or triple mat photos with (an)other (often textured) cardstock. On rare occasion, I do not mat photos (but may add 2-3 layers of hidden cardstock for dimension to the unmatted photo).

I exclusively scrapbook & use VersaFine Clair - Nocturne. Although not dye, it is a quick-drying, archival, pigment ink that yields saturated color, crisp words, detailed images, & is still embossable minutes later!

Thanks for your responses. While both the scrapbooking & spring collections are predictable, I appreciate the versatile diagonal gingham/tone-on-tone stripes & hope they expand the color palette in upcoming releases...

Since I dislike & won't buy paper pads due to the gummy binding, I would prefer manufacturers sell 6x6 &/or 6x8 paper packs with single/loose leaf sheets (like 12x12 collections). Anyone who wants to save scraps from the smaller scale/sized papers could store them in the original plastic packaging, vertical storage bins, or whatever system currently used to keep scraps with his/her/their 12x12 collections.

Well, no one can accuse you of not having long-term goals! Since it's a creative hobby, I prefer a philosophical approach: There is no such thing as too much paper!

... I don't know what I think about the "I love Bella Blvd" stickers and die cuts... I would never use those. ... Like the I Love Doodlebug Sticker Doodles & the like, IMHO they should be (free) promotional materials included in an order, not (overpriced) retail products.

The closest two LSSs (scrapbook or stamp) that I'm aware of are both in small towns located ~1.5 hour drive (one way) in opposite directions from me with limited days/hours. Therefore, I shop online & miss having LSSs nearby.

ITA with everyone's comments. the yellow is hard and pastel/florals are a pass for me. love the dark blue colour, wish there was more of it. Ditto. I also wish dark blue/navy was included in more collections!

Thanks for your responses. While I appreciate the concept of the Color Swatch collection (& charcoal is my favorite neutral!), I don't gravitate toward the 49 & Market aesthetic (i.e. vintage/distressed, faux mixed media, feminine, floral, etc.) or embellishments (e.g. washi, epoxy, rub-ons, frames, acetate, florals). Nothing from this release is added to my wish list.

Thanks for your responses. I dislike the yellow & distressing of the Anchors Aweigh collection. While I like the multicolor stripe paper in Runner's High & the plaid paper in The Graduate, nothing is a must-have.

RUNNERS HIGH is just perfect. My hubby is a life-long runner. The colors and design are my style. I might purchase 2 packs Plus the coordinating cardstock. Must have that running shoe paper!!! Works not only for the runners in my family, but all those active youngsters. And the coordination cs will have all the great colours I also appreciate that collections include coordinating cardstock (vs. pattern paper weight solids)!
