No possibility of parole. The judge was so disgusted by him. Murder in SC is 30-life, day for day (no early release). At his age, he is pretty much in for life regardless; I think you are right that the judge wanted to max it out. Not a lawyer here, I’m not sure what that means. I was just repeating what I read in the news. The corruption in the systems in that area are unbelievable. I’m not sure if he would have even been charged if journalists hadn’t been pushing the story so hard and so long. Mandy Matney sure can take things personally, but she did South Carolina a huge service keeping this story out front for so long.

Timothy Olyphant was so funny. Love him. DD and I enjoyed it. Fun to watch on a snowy day.

I saw the 2 consecutive life sentences. But does that mean he will have a chance of parole? (Even though I highly doubt it would ever be offered.) I am so relieved he was found guilty. No possibility of parole. The judge was so disgusted by him.

For those who believe he is guilty, do you think he acted alone? I watched the Netflix series yesterday, and the way the shootings happened seemed to indicate there were two shooters? I think he is a lying low life and belongs in jail for the rest of his life, but, just wondering the opinions of those who have followed more closely. No, he acted alone. I haven’t seen the Netflix show, but I’ve listened to Mandy Matney’s podcast and she covers that at length. The hunting property had lots and lots of guns, including guns of the type that killed them. He easily could have used two different guns and gotten rid of them when he left. I didn’t really follow the trial, but I’ve thought he was guilty since I first heard the story. He was there and he had strong motive to do something drastic with everything crashing down on him. May he rot in jail.

You can contact the surgeon. I would not expect this to be the type of infection he was concerned about. Millions of people have had Covid and millions have artificial joints. I think if there was a risk we would have heard of an uptick in revisions - removing an infected artificial joint, treating with antibiotics and replacing it. He needs to be particularly cautious with dental work, even routine work. Bacteria from the mouth can get into the blood stream and cause an infection. I had an aunt who fell and injured one leg on an old wooden bridge on her property. The infection spread do the artificial knee of the other leg. I try to always treat any wounds DH gets by cleaning them well and treating with antibiotic spray because he has several artifical joints. He takes antibiotics before dental visits, even cleanings. Interesting, I have never heard of prophylactic antibiotics for dental cleanings for typical joint replacements like knees and hips, only for those with artificial heart valves. My mom was on prophylactic antibiotics for dental work after her knee replacements.

I'd like to add Stephen King and Rita Moreno. Rita Moreno starred in the original West Side Story movie, and then was in the reboot 60 years later and stole the show!

I took my mom there now and then — she had a stack of Darden GCs that she wanted to use up. We always have fun, because I like going to lunch with my mom. The breadsticks are so incredibly salty to me that I just don’t eat them. I like the salad and they had a marinated chicken dish with roasted vegetables that was pretty tasty.
In my small town, we have four local Italian restaurants, so without mom’s GC I would never bother with OG.

I’m seeing Dinosaur Jr this coming Sunday. They are an alternative rock band more known in the 90’s. That’s all I have. I blew my concert budget by seeing Harry Styles four times in the past 12 months. No regrets though. He’s so worth it. Dinosaur jr was one of my favorite bands back in the 90s. I still listen to the guitar solo in Start Choppin.

I’m glad it worked out! My male cat has had to be groomed due to being skunked a couple times. But not before he ran around inside the house and wiped his face on everything in sight. My house stunk for months.
Once we had to bathe our female cat when she got into pine pitch. I had to get it off with oil, then bathe the oil off her. When we finished, her sibling the male cat attacked her and hissed at her for a day until she started smelling like herself again.

I’m 60 and definitely studied it in high school. It was not whitewashed and I remember wondering how America could have ever done such a thing and it couldn’t happen again. I was so naive. I didn’t take history in college.

I plan meals, but decide which one to make each day. * NYT beef stew * tortellini with sausage, spinach, tomatoes. * shrimp tacos with avocado and cabbage * stir fried vegetables and noodles * chicken tikka masala and naan * gumbo for Mardi gras * Takeout Friday

My mom is 83 and has had an iPhone and iPad for years. She does great with them. She plays games, FaceTimes with us, emails, texts, looks at things online, and googles everything in sight. She’s been having some dexterity issues with her hands, so she keeps hitting the wrong things and that frustrates her, but otherwise she uses her phone exactly as I do.

I use spices, salt and pepper and the like. I wouldn't use condiments because, well, we're picky about those. I've never had random stuff like cereal or crackers or whatever left in a rental. Often the owner leaves us something. Maybe coffee, fresh half and half, welcoming bottle of wine or a couple cans of beer. It's always been outlined on a note that they left it for us as part of their service. We really likedthe blueberry ale that was left for us in our airbnb in Maine last fall -- we bought some to take home.

The Washington Post reviewed the sandwich and said, if you like cauliflower, it’s a very tasty sandwich. Not meant to be fake chicken at all — it tastes like the cauliflower that it is. Apparently CF has been working on more vegetable-centric offerings for a few years, because customers have asked for them. It doesn’t sound like bandwagon jumping at all.
I don’t ever eat there, because there are very few CF restaurants in Massachusetts and I didn’t understand the hype when I tried it in Atlanta. My gay son, on the other hand, loves the place. I prefer Popeyes for a fried chicken sandwich.

We loved Hadestown. Patrick Page and Andre de Shields were amazing. The dancing was fantastic. The set was really well done. Highly recommend.
Six was a blast. I went the week Broadway reopened and the audience just went nuts. Such fun.
I’m waiting for Merrily We Roll Along in the fall.

I’m just jealous that you got to go to their concert. They’re retiring after this tour, aren’t they? Such amazing musicians.

My daughter wants a DJ because she likes to listen to the songs by the original artist -- she just doesn't like covers very much. She absolutely loves wedding music by DJs. I've been to four weddings in the last 8 months. Three had DJs and everyone danced like crazy. One had a band and everyone danced like crazy.
I think people are so happy to party and celebrate at weddings after missing so many during Covid (three of my nephews ended up eloping during covid and didn't have their big planned receptions.)

I figured they'd find it pretty quickly. That sucker would send a Geiger counter into overload. Cesium-137 is a strong source of radiation.
But sheesh, falling off the back of a truck? They've got to be kidding. How incredibly dangerous.

And I can’t get over your “and in the cold” comment 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 If only humans had invented some sort of portable thing we could put on to keep us warm when we go outside, like, oh I don’t know…a coat? It was more about a group of middle schoolers, who aren't always the brightest when it comes to dressing warmly, walking around a city, in the dark and cold, unsupervised. You have boys. Are you saying they always wear appropriate clothing for outwear in the winter? Because mine and every other teenager I have known, especially boys, would willing go to school and wait at the bus stop wearing shorts and flip flops on a snowy day. LOL Lol. I know those kids. My kids found out early on that they needed to be responsible for their under dressing. It only took once or twice and they were wise to the weather.

I would have called and checked on the level of supervision. If it sounded good enough for me, I’d have let her go. If not, I’d say no. I don’t understand all the drama.
But I used to drop DS off at the farthest out subway station a couple times a week so he could go into Boston for his music lessons when he was in 8th grade. I never went with him.

6 black dresses. I had to go to a funeral last week and scrambled for something dressy enough. Not going to get caught again. I’m going to buy all six in hopes that one or two will work out.

PurOrganica Urea 40% Foot Cream - No Pumice Stone - Callus Remover - Moisturizes & Rehydrates Thick, Cracked, Rough, Dead & Dry Skin - For Feet, Elbows and Hands - Made in USA a.co/d/hZxn8gRUse this after your shower. It’s very strong, so after my heel cracks improved, I only needed to use it a few times per week. It helps dissolve the dead skin and moisturize it. Great stuff.
