Our teachers have a choice of going into the building or teaching from home.
My husband who teaches in a different district also has a choice.

I don't understand how we still have such a problem with testing!! It is ridiculous. Tests should be readily available and should have faster turn around This seems to depend on where you live. I can go get tested at any time whether or not I have symptoms. The test for me is no charge and no referral is needed. Our governor has taken this mess in hand and stuck to his health officials for guidance. It has worked for us.

Why anyone would get on a cruise ship at all let alone now is just beyond my comprehension.
I realize they'd be a great way to see a lot of different places. It is just dangerous and so easily to get sick in non-covid times.

But why would people do this - send their kid to school when they’re waiting on a test result from exposure? And don’t say because they think it’s a hoax, because then why would they have the child tested in the first place? I am 100% mystified. Surely there can’t be that many dumb people in the world. Because their child is whining about wanting to go to school. Because they want their child out of the house. Because they want some type of normalcy. Because they know they screwed up by doing or allowing their child to ___________ and were hoping the results would be negative. Parents for YEARS and YEARS have been medicating their children to get them into school. The parents get angry when their child's temp spikes and the child has to go home. Parents get angry when their child is sick during the night. They send the child to school and then the child throws up. When questioned the school finds out the child was sick during the night. Parents seriously do not comprehend the issues they are causing by sending their sick child to school.

Our district is going 100% remote. The schools in the area are going 100% remote whether they are Elementary districts or High School. I'm in IL. Our state isn't as bad as others. I cannot imagine in states where this virus isn't under control sending any children back to school. The children may or may not spread it. We still don't have enough information about it. Things are changing daily as the scientists are learning about it. The scientists need more time. I was talking to my husband today. Our guess at this point will be a year before things settle down. Even if they come out with a vaccine will they have enough for those that aren't first responders?Anyhow.......that's what is happening here. Based on my completely unscientific observations, the 100 million doses the US has already purchased, should the vaccine pass trials, will be plenty for whomever wants one. Because FB is FULL of people who are absolutely refusing to go anywhere near the vaccine for themselves and their families. I had heard that they are making a vaccine now. They don't know if it will work until the trials are over. I certainly hope with what they've made it works because if it doesn't this is going on for a lot longer.

Does the Switch connect to the internet? Or maybe the question is can it connect to the internet? It does connect — but you don’t have to. But that’s how we all play Animal Crossing together! THANKS! I thought it did. Our internet was bogging down. I asked our dd. She said she wasn't on it. She may of not been, but her boyfriend was here playing it too.

All I can tell you is that my husband’s school year started in August of 2019 and hasn’t ended yet. He has had Zoom meetings just about daily. I feel for him. He hasn’t had a chance to begin to even consider relaxing. Just about the time he does his phone goes off with a text or call. Then he gets the Zoom email and off to the office he goes.

Wahhhhh. I don't wanta call India!! Plus I'm slightly irritated that I"M the one figuring this all out, not his boss's DA wife. Can you tell I'm getting PO'd. You’re NOT calling India. Apple doesn’t do that. I would guess you set it up all over again. I too would go back to Verizon and make them clear it up.

My husband supervised ACT testing on Saturday. He had 10 kids in the classroom. ACT gave him specific instructions on how to administer the test during this horrible time.
When he got home he said he felt safe. ACT is going to do a few more tests. I think he said 2 in September and maybe October.

I don’t know the answer to that. You could call the company of your current router and ask them.
I have an Apple router and boosters. They don’t make them anymore. But I was able to do what you are describing with them.

This is going on FOREVER......
The next will be a vaccine will come out. They will run out of it. There will be those that won’t vaccinate their children. Adults won’t vaccinate. Schools won’t require vaccinations for the kids to return to the classrooms. They will allow the unvaccinated ones to return.
I know I sound negative. The district I used to teach in NEVER required the kids to get vaccinated. They just didn’t. The parents would give an excuse. The powers that be agreed and wallllla the kid was back in the classroom.
Oh gads......I don’t think my family will totally disown me. They, at least those within my four walls agree to wear masks. Now, my siblings I’m not sure of. It’s ok as we are not physically close to any of them.

Our board meetings are virtual. The parents have been given surveys. Our district has multiple committees working on all of this. I don’t know if during a Zoom they are allowing anyone to speak.

I’ve been out many times, and in all the places I’ve been to, I’ve only seen two people without masks. Been all over – Wrigleyville, Little Saigon, downtown, west suburbs, O’Hare, Evanston/Skokie, and although I’m retired I still keep a small office in Northbrook…all the same observation. No one has made a fuss about mask-wearing and social distancing, although I did read there have been a few confrontations about it. However, nothing like what’s happening in other states. It doesn’t seem to be a controversial issue here. So altogether, I think Illinoisans are obeying Pritzker’s and health officials’ orders and guidelines. Thankfully. Pritzker was not high on my list of politicians, his toilet debacle still irks me, but I do have to say that I have been super impressed by the way he and his team have taken on Covid in Illinois. He and Dr Zika have done a really good job of impressing the seriousness and getting everyone on board. Every day when they announce the stats both of them take a moment to express sympathy and condolences for the lives lost. Every day! To them, it seems like every life counts, every death a big loss. I also think mobilizing that massive field hospital in McCormick place scared some serious shit into folks to take this seriously. Thank goodness we never had to use it to the full extent. Lori Lightfoot has also been amazing. Strong leadership and not afraid to speak her mind. I am so grateful we have good leadership here. Just wish it went way higher...how many deaths could have been prevented. Me too!! I am THRILLED that our leadership is paying attention to the science of all of this. I’m concerned with WI being so dang close and the lack of science that seems to be happening up there. IL Peas....be proud!! We’ve worked our tails off. I’m hoping we don’t go back. Although I’m confident if we do go back it’s because the science is showing we need to.

There was a doctor this morning that said that those that have had it can easily get it again. The immunities apparently only last for a short time.
It’s sad. I wish they’d get a vaccine out.

Your pup is adorable!
With so much husky in him he may lose the mask as he ages.
I showed my husband his picture. The one where he is stretching is what our dog does a lot, an awful lot. We look at it as her stall tatic!

Thought--- Layer 1--Draw an X lower right corner Add a layer Layer 2--Draw an O in the upper left corner Add a layer Layer 3 -- Now erase your O. You won't be able to, same with X as you are on top of those layers, but can see them. You can turn off a layer(s) if you need to.

We retired here 21 years ago, and 😍 love it. We moved last fall to a condo community in west Knox County, and are really happy here. Not on the water, but with 2 pools. The Tennessee River runs through Knoxville and Knox County and Loudon Lake is also part of the water area. Property on the water is expensive . Part of the lake property is actually in Blount County, West Knoxville is the area that has spawned the most growth during the past 30 years or so. There are those who like downtown Knoxville for condo living, but I do not want to live there. Some parts of downtown are not desirable. Knoxville has grown West and northwest. The area is beautiful, and there’s a lot to do and explore. The people are friendly, and traffic is heavy at rush hour, but not bad. We have great medical facilities, and a wide assortment of Churches. If you want more details, please PM me. GamGam Sent you a pm!! THANK YOU!!

Do you have school age children? Do you want to be ON the water or NEAR the water? Preferences about being in town or in a rural area? No children as we are retired. As far as in/out of town, probably not too far from town. We're looking at both on/off the water. If not a home with an in-ground pool would work too. I think what I've figured out is that we'd have more space if we stuck to a ranch that has a lower level, hence it leads to a lake. I just am not sure what lake to focus on. I'd like to swim in the lake, boat, paddle board and maybe kayak. The homes seem to have a steep grade to the water. That I'm not sure about that.

Procreate! I love this program!
Layers....when you open the layers panel the check mark in the box shows a layer. If you uncheck the layer it is hidden, but still there. --When I write I put a line of words per layer so I can edit each layer on it's own. --When I add color I sometimes add them separately unless I want he colors to blend with each other. -------Layer 1: I have a layer that is dark blue at the bottom to lighter at the top (all one layer) -------Layer 2: stars -------Layer 3: word that I enlarged/blurred -------Layer 4: word -------Layer 5: where I added blurred highlights to accent letters
Procreate has their own site. Lots of help and information there.
