You could have a counter top made. My lower cabinets are from Home Depot. The counter top would of been from them also, but it was less expensive to have a family owned company make it for me.

Here are a couple of ideas I saw...
-Senior photo used to make a banner that is hung from the street lights
-Senior photo used to make yard signs lined up in front of the school

You did the right thing. Could you give it to her and let her reheat it. It's ok. She probably would love your meal.
Remember besides all the extra stuff going on right now she has mommy brain.

I saw this on tv....
The guests lined the streets in their cars. The bride/groom in their attire walked down the center of the street. It was very sweet. Everyone got to see her dress/flowers that way. They also were able to take all sorts of photos. So maybe the weather would cooperate for her to do that instead of them driving by.

Those of you who send your children to camps please remember during the "good times" parents send their children to school/camps with ibuprofen in their system. This will happen. It will happen even more because the parents will want their kids out of the house. The kids will whine, cry and complain that they can't go to camps. It will be a huge mess if things return to "normal" over the summer.
I too think it will be at least a year before things are "better".
I'd plan family trips. Maybe even rent a camper and travel in that. I would start checking into one now. I'd at least educate myself as to how that would work. I wouldn't count on being able to go to monuments or historic places. I'd look for places I could visit and view on my own.

Do you have the app “AnyLIst”? We use it for groceries and other stops we make. I have lists for the hardware stores, banks, general stores (Target/Walmart), and grocery stores. I share those lists with my dh and dd. If someone wants something it has to be on the list. If it’s not, then it’s not purchased.
You can load the app and have him load it too. Then you create a grocery list by store. You share that list with him. He then can add to that list. Start there. He puts foods on the list that he would like to eat.
From there have him make lunch plans for a week. He’s home so he can make them daily. Once school resumes he can make his lunches on Sunday’s. That’s what we did with our dd. She’d bag chips/veggies or whatever. Then the night before she’d grab bags and put them into her lunch box. That way she had her lunches made.

Think about the everyday things you might need. Coffee. Chocolate. Deodorant. Body wash or bar soap. Laundry detergent. Dishwasher tablets. Batteries. Light bulbs. Seriously 2 of my flood lights went out in my kitchen. I thought I had a box, but turns out there was other stuff in it instead. Dishwashing detergent! YES! I bought 2 boxes to have. Light bulbs I hadn't thought about. Batteries, our dd is home from college. She has batteries stashed like a squirrel stashes nuts. HOWEVER, I guarantee you that she will not have the size we need.

My dh has set up on the kitchen counter. If I wasn’t so busy doing other things he would be evicted. We have plenty of other space in our home that he could work in.
My girlfriend says I should leave him alone as this is different. I have, it’s just hard.

Ok, I don’t know about shoes, but I think what I would do is go to the bridal store and pick up your dress. That way if the store happens to go under you have your dress. Make arrangements for a fitting now so they have that on the books. Me.....I’d want the dress! Not sure she can since most stores are mandated to be closed. I bet she could make an appointment to just pick it up, not try it on. A curbside pickup....no fitting room. Give the credit card over the phone. I just wouldn’t wait. I believe there are a lot of places that feel right now they are “ok”. I wouldn’t want to chance it.

A year........why? Because they, the medical officials do not know how this is going to react in the various seasons. There is no vaccine. Once they begin to make one how fast can this be done? How much can they make at a time? That will be a rush to get that.
This is a mess......the medical people are heroes. The current President.....I have no words, lots of thoughts, but no words.

Someone suggested staples, and meds.
Apparently meat plants are having trouble with people getting sick.

I agree it has to be gradual or parents will become the teachers for quite awhile! Let alone the medical people involved with all of this.
It doesn’t make sense to me to just open various counties as I think people will just go there.

GREAT suggestions of what we will need in the future.
I did start a separate thread for the future. Hopefully we can get it all in one place.
As for now...TP we are good. I haven’t seen a can of Lysol at all. I did get bleach so at least that’s something. My girlfriend/her husband bought a generator. Hmmmm......things to thing about.

There is a thread that has some things mentioned within it that we may need in the future. Let’s start a fresh thread of what we should have on hand at home.
Everyone has been so helpful stating what we need for now.
Future suggestions anyone?

We just had a state update. One of the reporters asked about summer and large groups. He stated that things should be cancelled.
Fauci said yesterday he hopes schools can return to normal in the Fall.
One of the Chicago stations tracked a person who has it. That person has successfully infected 15 people. That one person did it by sharing a meal with others and then they passed it on and so on.....
Oh gads.....

I hope they figure it out. What I'm really stressing about is college FOOTBALL. I heard someone on TV say-no clue who it was because I was in another room- that they needed 60 days to be able to start the season on time- so July? Does anyone know? I just found this. College Football

American Idol...Ryan mentioned this during his Kelly/Ryan stint this morning. They are looking at how they can have the performers compete. He has the original judges desk from Fox (?) in storage. He is hoping to get that set up in his living room.
He wasn't sure about anything else.
