Three years ago, I reconnected with my Dad and his family. My parents divorced when I was 6 months old and never had contact with my Dad after that. Three years ago, my DD contacted him. We eventually talked. We get along great now and are very close but his other children don't want me involved at all, especially my half sister. She's extremely jealous of me, which is very crazy.. Best of luck to you!

This month I need to make: -3 birthday cards -2 Mother's Day cards -1 grad card -1 bridal shower card
I'd also plan to make a mini album of last fall's trip up north. I'm pretty sure I won't get it finished in May but I would like to get a lot done in it before we go on vacation next month.

I really like both Headspace and Insight Timer. I use them both frequently.

I signed up for a 15 hour crop at my LSS but because of a shoulder injury, I tore my rotator cuff, I'm not sure if I would be able to scrapbook for 12-15 hours, or at all for that matter. It gets very sore when I scrapbook for an hour or two at home. Third world problems I know, but I haven't been to a crop or even scrapbooked with anyone else in a long time and I was so looking forward to it. Ok I'm done feeling sorry for myself.

I read "The story of Arthur Truluv" by Elizabeth Berg. I liked it but didn't really love it. Seemed a lot like "A Man Called Ove" which I loved. I'm at the library now picking out my next book. Thank you all for the recommendations!

I finished "I Have the Right To: A High School Survivor's Story of Sexual Assault, Justice and Hope." It was a little hard to read but very powerful and inspiring. So glad I read it.

I'm in southern Minnesota, about a hour south of Minneapolis. We got about 14 inches here also. On a positive note, because of it, I haven't left the house this weekend and have gotten 12 pages done! That is a lot for me!!!

I just placed an order from the Jillibean Soup Warehouse Sale! I love their bean board and mini alphabets! I always try to stock up during their warehouse sale when they're 50% off!!!! Of course, I had to order a few other sticker embellishments as well...

All of my scrapbook and card making supplies, all of my scrapbooks that I've completed on a long book shelf that my DH made and my meditation cushion and yoga blocks, as it is my craft/yoga/meditation room. I also keep my gift wrapping in the closet in the room. And a paper shredder. Lol

I can totally relate and sympathize with you. At the beginning of her senior year, my DD was diagnosed with Lupus. She really struggled. She missed a lot of school due to not feeling well and dr appointments. She ended up going to a alternative school where she actually ended up graduating early. She spent her senior prom in the hospital. That was 8 years ago. She did struggle for a long time but is now back in college with a 4.0 grade average. Hang in there. It does get better.

I definitely will be in my craft room a lot this weekend! I finished organizing my photos (for the most part) and edited and ordered a big batch of photos from 2017 earlier today. I'm now working on putting the final touches (and journaling) on a few layouts I have sitting on my desk and then intend on getting more done. Happy weekend!

I am definitely a chronological scrapper. Always have been. Right now, I am about 2 years behind. I'm totally ok with that. Although, I do my DD every December (well I don't usually finish until January..) and I do separate albums for vacations and do them shortly after each trip.

Although it's small and simple, my favorite tool is my CTMH tweezers. I literally could not scrapbook without it!

not really a ritual, but I can't scrap or work in my craft room at all if I'm wearing my shoes... I think I have to be 'relaxed' in order to be creative, lol! If I'm at a crop at a hotel, I typically take my shoes off, too, and just walk around the room in my socks. eta: I typically like to wear my pjs, too- or at least loose-fitting yoga pants and a loose t-shirt. (typically not 'new' new clothes, either, because I ALWAYS end up wiping glue, ink, or glitter onto my shirt or my pant leg.) And even when I'm at a crop, after dinner, I take off my bra. Then I feel most comfortable, and I can scrap until 2 or 3 am, no problem! This is me to a tee (literally!!)

My only 2 rituals are that I need It to be absolutely quiet (no tv or music) and I always need to have a Diet Coke nearby.

I keep my Thickers in a 31 Fold n File holder. I have 3. They fit Thickers perfectly! I also use 1 for embellishment stickers.

Due to a shoulder injury, I am probably going to be home from work all week. Normally, I'd be thrilled with extra scrapbook time but unfortunately my shoulder pain only lets me scrapbook for short amounts of time. Today, I am getting a lot done though by organizing old photos that are in boxes and putting them in regular albums.

I read Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. It was the second book of hers that I've read. I really love like how she writes. I will have a lot of reading time in the next couple of weeks due to a shoulder injury and not being able to work (or even scrapbook much).

Owls, mushrooms and woodland animals: the ironic thing is, I love all 3 of those and so have collected many papers/embellishments with them on it but for the life of me can't really use them on my pages. I have used some on my cabin/lake adventures pages.
Past/present: sewing or stitching on layouts.
