I do need to have this completed by March 31st. Help me complete my goal!! This is completely free and I can provide all ingredients in any of the products I plan to use. I do have some photos of some of the ladies I have already completed that have given me permission to show their pictures. If you would like to see any before and afters please message me. Admin please delete if not ok." Someone (that I don't know) just posted this on one of the local mom groups I'm on. It must be something that they are being encouraged to do!

Thank goodness! With the 6th largest economy in the world it makes me so happy that the state is doing what it can to be a leader in the areas that are seriously lacking at the federal level. I love that we can choose to have all of our energy from our local utility come from renewable resources. We just moved and haven't figured out if we can get solar at the new house - we couldn't at our old house. But knowing that the electricity we do get comes from renewables makes me very happy.

It's no problem at all, if you think women should be kept barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. We have a complete right to think other people's lifestyle choices are sucky. Republicans have been doing it for generations. I just had a very good laugh at myself over this comment. I consider myself very liberal. But at the moment I am barefoot, pregnant, and frosting cupcakes.

We bought with the Costco discount but didn't go through costco - if that makes sense. We got the deal that they were advertising plus a costco gift card. The dealership wasn't willing to negotiate any additional discount because they said we were already getting a really good deal.

Interesting...
I had less steps - 4,646,409 steps, but more miles 1,872 miles and a little bit more calories 499,278 calories.
I couldn't find previous years in my email. But is something that I would think I would have saved.

We just moved and we went to an emergency preparedness meeting today. It was highly suggested that we have a landline and old school phone that requires no power. At&t is our local phone provider and looking online $30 or so a month is the cheapest I see. We currently have VOIP and pay maybe $10 a month and that covers long distance and everything. So I am having a really hard time justifying $30 a month for something that we might need 1-2 times every 5-10 years. We do live somewhere that cell service can be a bit spotty at times and if there was an earthquake it is possible that we would be without service (power, internet) for an extended period of time (week-month).
Has anyone had any luck with a super cheap, super bare bones phone plan for a landline?
Thanks!

I would look into chatbooks. I have the series thing going and get books printed from my instagram feed every 60 photos. But they have all kinds of options. PM me if you want a discount code! I have been very happy with my books. And I think you can select a hashtag and it will pull all of your photos into a book.

My Mum handed my sister a stack of paperbacks and asked her to put them on her Kindle for her. Bless her. This is my dream. We have so many "dead tree" books that I am having a very hard time letting go of. If I could just give them to someone and get the electronic version of all of them I would be thrilled!

I think you have enough, but how about a cookie sheet of roasted red peppers? Whenever I serve them they disappear. I just slice the peppers into 1 inch or so strips from top to bottom of the pepper (remove stems and seeds). Place on foil covered and PAM sprayed cookie sheet, drizzle generously with Balsamic vinegar and bake in 400 degree oven until they are a little charred on edges and peppers are limp. You could also grill the large portabella mushrooms and then slice them up so everyone could have some, but not a whole one. That sounds delicious!! I have a bag of those mini sweet bell peppers from costco. Thank you!

I'm hosting my in-laws, 3 other couples (2 that are their friends and my parents), dh and I, and our 3 kids for my fil's birthday tonight. I am struggling with an additional menu item.
We are doing raclette. I have potatoes, bread, and cheese for that. Then for grilling on top, we have filet, chicken, and shrimp. We will also be grilling lobster tails.
We have 4 people that don't eat red meat - of those - 2 that don't eat chicken but will eat seafood, 2 that eat seafood but not chicken.
We also have one person that is gluten-free and another that is low carb (me - gestational diabetes - not as concerned about me I'll figure it out).
My mil is bringing a salad and a side cucumber dish.
I feel like I need some sort of vegetarian entree. Any suggestions??

In the past year since they have set a wedding date they have gone to Disneyland 5 times. Each time has been 3 days/2 nights in a hotel (the last time saying at the California Grand Hotel). We feel (and have vocalized it to them) that if they can afford to go to DL that many times in a year they can afford to pay for their wedding. They live with her parents, have no expenses except a $250 car payment. He works full time and she works 16 hours a week. Based on this we have chosen not to give them money for the wedding. Yeah, they (the bride and groom) are oblivious. We recently stayed at the grand Californian - only because i had been saving up the rewards from my Disney Visa for 2 years. It was $800+ a night. The cheapest I have ever seen it is $500 a night. The priorities seem out of wack!

beaglemom , Oh My! I'm sending you a virtual hug, 'cuz dang, you need one. I hope you can control your gestational diabetes with diet and that the propane has been delivered. We had 30% in the propane tank on Thursday morning before leaving for a few days and came home last night to 15%. They say they'll get to us before tomorrow. But last winter they took our info and then misplaced it. When I would call back, they had no clue I had ordered. Luckily last winter was mild and 20% went a lot further. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for them. My van still won't start (stopped 2 weeks ago in the bitter cold). That's crazy that it went down that much!!! We just moved from a 1,000 tank at the old house to a 500 gallon at this house. So I'm used to my propane lasting a while! What's crazy is that they were out a month ago to turn it all back on after we had the house tented, so they should have known the tank level. On top of that, they have remote monitoring of the tank level and we are supposed to be on autofill. The lady tried to say it was my fault because we didn't have autopay set up yet, I thought we did since the other house is still on our account - so 2 addresses on the same account. But apparently you have to set it up separately for each address, you would think they would at least have let me know that!

We moved into our new house a month ago today. While I love the house and generally I am really happy, yesterday sucked!
I realized that we have a mouse, I have 3 kids (6, 4, 22 months) and I'm pregnant. We have dealt with mice before and I hate them with a passion. I called and the pest people can come out on Thursday.
On Sunday night I was doing laundry and we already knew we had to get the dryer vent redone because it currently goes out through the roof rather than right out the exterior wall next to it. It was backing up and water gets in it when it rains. Well, Sunday night I had a load in and it starts smelling like burnt plastic. I unplugged and cleaned the vent out again, but figured I would just wait till they can do the new vent - Thursday or Friday depending on the weather.
DH was out of town with our oldest this weekend and when he got home super late Sunday night/Monday morning he asked why I had the heat on so low. I said I wasn't sure what was going on because I had actually turned it up.
Friday was the first real rain since we moved in and we discovered that one of the doors in the dining room leaks. It poured all day yesterday and last night, when I went down this morning the towel I had by it on the floor was soaked - how the old owners didn't know/notice when we had a very wet winter last year is beyond me. So that is now on the list of things to get fixed asap.
Back to the heat issue. So I reset the thermostat yesterday afternoon - thinking that was the problem. Got home it wasn't on and the house was down to 60. I'm working on dinner at the same time and realize that the water in the sink won't heat up and that the burners on the gas stove are barely functioning. Yup - we're out of propane - like down to 0. We are supposed to be on auto fill up. Called this morning, they are hoping to get someone out before 1 to refill, relight the piolet lights, and make sure everything is working.
Hoping the dryer issue was that we ran out of propane, but we'll find out!
And the end of last week I learned I have gestational diabetes and I am having a heck of a time regulating my blood sugar and it is driving me nuts!

I swear by Moving Comfort sports bras. I used to wear 2 or 3 layered other brand ones to keep things in place while running. I just wear one of their Juno ones and I am all set (DDD). I have trained for half IronMan races and raced in them. They are fantastic!!! They are not stretchy, they are very supportive. They make a number of different styles, Juno just happens to be my preferred one. I am short so I always had the problem with other ones that to get it to be big enough in the boobs the straps were too long. But moving comforts are adjustable with velcro and work great. I wear them 4-6 days a week and they easily last a year or more.

beaglemom Yikes! You are a busy woman. For your guest room / craft room, I would consider a wall bed that is in a vertical position when not in use. My MIL has one in her craft room. It's great. That's the hope! I found one I love that has a craft table that comes out of it when it is vertical. We need to sell the other house first, then I can plan my dream room!!

I need this! I signed up for the emails and the facebook group for the lemon thingy. We unexpectedly moved the first weekend in December. We saw the new house Nov. 6, put in an offer the 9th, closed the 20th, they moved out the 29th, tented Dec 1, moved in Dec 10. So the whole purge before moving didn't really happen. We have been doing a pretty good job of purging as we are unpacking. I took a Suburban load to Goodwill this morning.
We still have some stuff - mostly books - left in the old house. They are boxed up and ready to move - but we haven't moved them yet.
The new house has a 3 car garage and right now there is stuff in 1 1/2 bays. Of course, it is mostly my stuff. We lost 2 rooms in the move - which of course were the rooms that my sewing stuff and craft stuff lived in. Now I get to share the guest room. So I am trying to figure out what the best way to store and work in the guest room is. We don't use it for guests very often, but on the off chance we need it I would like it to not be a nightmare to make happen.
Add to it that I am due with Baby #4 in March. And the other 3 kids are 6, 4, 21 months. So one box at a time!
I'm trying to get at least 2 boxes unpacked every day. Things have to go straight to a new home or in a donate box. Once I get all the boxes in the house done then I will start slowly tackling the stuff in the garage.
Yesterday I packed up all the Christmas stuff (other than the tress, dh has to take them apart for me and they will go in the garage). Now we have a closet in our front entry that has all the Halloween (we have a lot), Christmas, and Hannukah decorations in it and they are all organized! Small steps!

We just did this. 7 miles between houses. We packed 75% of our stuff. They did the kitchen and my china and some other stuff they had time for (I was only willing to pay for one day of packing). They only cover breakage on stuff that they pack. They then moved 95% of the stuff from one house to the other. We still have 5% left at the old house - we aren't putting it on the market till March so we have some time. We are slowly bringing the last bits over a couple days a week. I wish we had just had them bring everything. We labeled everything really well and they put the boxes in the rooms they were to go in and it was great.

My inlaws are this way as well. Their pantry is downright nasty. I have cleaned it out twice in the last 16 years. But each time they have insisted on keeping things - like pate that was a couple years expired, things that were so old they didn't have expirations dates. They both still consider themselves "athletes" (73 and 76) so they have boxes and boxes of exercise bars, gels, and goos. There are boxes of things that are full of weivles (sp?) and moth things. The weirdest part is they are super health conscious and 99% of the time the things that are cooked at their house are fresh, so I don't really worry. But we no longer let my father in law cook his "scrambled" eggs for us. My last pregnancy 2015/16 he tried to serve us way undercooked eggs and dh got in an argument about it. Dh told him that he would just recook my eggs a little bit more because he was worried I would get sick. And fil went off at him about how they were perfect and how dare he. So now it is dh's job - it's too bad because I just can't stomach scrambled eggs any more, fil just served them too undercooked for too many years. Just the thought makes my stomach hurt!
