Oh gosh...I did not need to read this thread. Our Peleton is supposed to be here Friday and now I am afraid. I adore my Peloton. I have had it since January 2019 and I have done over 900 rides. If you can't figure out your fit, Matt Wilpers has a whole crew of bike fitters that you can make an appointment with. Worth every penny!!

They only sold the cones that are more cylindrical than the traditional 31-flavors cone shaped cones. The cylinder that came out of the scoop fit perfectly in the shelf of the cones. Like a DQ or Fosters style cone. Ah, that makes sense! Because the way she did it on the video was kinda silly - one big cylinder of ice cream plonked precariously on top of a cone. No thanks, I want ice cream all the way down to the bottom of the cone! So now beaglemom needs to find us some Thrifty cones. Maybe someone will come back in a few years when they find them online! lt looks like I can Instacart them from RiteAid cones

i may have to get this for my kid's easter basket! where is thrify's? Ive never heard of that brand. Looking online it looks like they were a drugstore company 1919-1992. Now the Thrifty name and logo live on through Thrifty Ice Cream, sold in West Coast Rite Aid locations and various ice cream shops in the southwestern United States and over 200 across Mexico.

Years ago there was an ISO post on there and someone was looking for a scoop that worked like the Thrifty scoop. I came across it to today on Amazon and Rite Aid's website and wanted to post it here in case they were still looking. Thrifty's Ice Cream Scooper

I totally understand your hurt and validate it. I do think it is nice that your mom came clean and is trying to make amends. I would have your daughter write them a thank you note telling them how much she appreciates it.

Saturday, March 14th. Burgers after shopping at the Lego store for sets for all of us to "get through the 6 week shut down." I can't imagine eating inside at one again for a long time.

I totally struggle with this too. I like one of my sil and can't stand the other. The one I like funds are tight, but they really do try. I love getting to buy things for their kids. The one I can's stand - she is too busy. We bought gifts for her kids for years before we had kids, always happy to spoil them. Never got one thank you card. Then when we had our kids she decided she was too busy to shop for gifts for the kids and decided that we would no longer do gifts for the kids. I still buy some stuff for her kids, but it's hard because we live in a different state and don't see them that often and they are older than my kids. We don't talk to them so I have no idea what to get them, so it is often a shot in the dark on gifts and there is no recognition. I keep doing something, mostly because they live a mile from the other sil, so they would know if I sent gifts to one family and not the other. But it is really hard.

Cheese Melt Aways were a must way back when we entertained. Crab meat, Mayo, minced onion and Kraft old English cheese, piled on English muffin quarters then baked. An appetizer you could make ahead and freeze. My grandma had a version of this. I found the recipe after she passed away in October. For Christmas I photocopied the recipe and gave my mom and sister a copy with the ingredients as a "silly" Christmas gift or so I thought, it was both of their favorite gifts this year. They were so happy to get it and both ended up making it that day.

We haven't been anywhere since a year ago this week. There is a part of me that doesn't want to do anything, the other part of me is desperate to go somewhere.
That said the family we are podding with has a house in Hawaii. SO the biggest risk to all of us is the flight out there. Because once we are there we will be staying at the house(s) - there are 3 on the property, they stay in one, we stay in one, and her parents in the 3rd. They are the only people we see right now. WE really, really want to go but are worried about the flights with our kids. If we go we are planning to go for 2-3 months.
Other than that we rescheduled out normal Cabo Christmas trip for October, but I don't know if that will happen. It would be my inlaws, both of my sil's and their families, and us - my inlaws are vaccinated and one of the sil couples is vaccinated, but the other 4 adults and the 10 kids aren't yet.

We have been driving our electric cars for 5 years now with no issues. We aren't great candidates for solar because we are north facing and have lots of trees, but we are trying to find as many ways as we can to move away from oil and gas produced things as we can.

I'm sorry I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I have a ridiculous amount of old SC kits (pre 2018). They have been sitting in boxes since we moved Dec 2017. I realize I will never use them. What is the best way to sell them? Are they 12x12 scrapbook kits? I might be interested! I might have a couple. I think it is mainly the PL kits and stamps.

Okay, once I get my act together I will post them there!!

My petty vent....my 78-year-old mil looks ridiculous in pigtails and she keeps wearing them.
Broader vent. We are being so careful. We are doing everything we can to keep ourselves and the people around us safe. I'm homeschooling our 4 kids, we get delivery for 99% of our groceries, we have only seen our parents outside and masked for months. Yet I see people all over social media acting like there is no pandemic going on - going to parties, going out to eat, having family over, and traveling. This is just going to continue to get worse and it is so frustrating because we know what we need to do to slow the spread.

I'm not sure how to answer. I live in the same area I grew up in, but a different town. But it is the Bay Area/Silicon Valley in California and everything is close together. We live about 20 miles from where I grew up and 5 miles from where dh grew up. We wanted a bit more land that the .1 acre lots that most of the valley has, so we are on the hillside and have 5 acres.
There are very few people that I grew up with still in the area. It has just gotten so expensive and most have had to move elsewhere.
That said we love where we live and even though we talk about moving somewhere less expensive we can't come up with anywhere that we would want to live more that where we are. Also it helps that both of our parents are still in the houses that we grew up in. So with 4 kids we can't imagine moving away from both sets of grandparents.

Yes! Thanks lindas . Again, the magic of Pea sleuthing. You don't have this by any chance do you? I have 2 sitting in my garage. I don't have a place for them currently. So they are stacked on top of each other in the garage.
