The Tuesday Morning that I frequent the most is closing. I'm not surprised but it's a bummer. It's in a shopping center that has had a Bed, Bath and Beyond and a Michael's close.

I just tried my Cameo 4 and part of the design was cut above the top grid lines. On my old, old Cameo I would change the material setting on the control panel. For the life of me, I can not figure out how to get the whole design to cut without the top part of the design being cut on the top section of the mat. I really hope this makes sense.
How do I get the whole design to cut on the actual cutting area of the mat?

The Minc toner marker never worked for me. I was so excited when I got it and then tried to use it and was greatly disappointed.

That's weird. I would guess 95% of the people i see at the store are wearing masks, and our state is opening tattoo parlors and bowling alleys tomorrow. LOL Please tell me the tattoo parlors are opening to start putting people’s I.Q. on their forehead like in my dream from the other night. Then people will know not to put any stock into what someone below “x” points is saying. I'd like to see a forehead tattoo that would indicate if a person is a bad decision maker. I know a few people who have a high I.Q. but have low -good- decision making skills.

It would be a nay for me. We live in the city and our neighbors across the street have the metal kind. Since we are in an urban area the street is very narrow so their house isn't too far away from ours. They are pretty loud, especially at 3:00 in the morning.

I have a daughter in 5th grade and a daughter in 7th grade. They both attend a private school for dyslexics. Both (as are many of the kids at their school) are also ADHD. I was scared to death when they started online school but it has really turned out to be great. The administrators and teachers have worked so hard to make a meaningful and successful online school which is like performing a miracle for their students.
They use google classrooms and zoom. They have pre-recorded video lessons that are made by each teacher along with private, one-on-one scheduled time with their teacher via zoom and then a "homeroom" of sorts with their whole class once a day. It only took them one week to prepare and I am so impressed with what they have done. I think it's a big benefit of a small school with small classes. Parents receive a weekly update video from the executive director along with many emails from teachers and other administrators. I have had a zoom meeting for an IEP.
My oldest is a senior at a Catholic high school. I'm impressed with her school too. They did not miss one single day of instruction! They were in school on a Friday and on Monday they went straight to online. To update parents we get a daily email from the principle. Her school is relatively small.

My oldest daughter is a senior and she is heart broken about the idea of missing senior prom, the high school musical, and graduation. Her drama teacher has pretty much said the musical just won't happen. I really hope things can be rescheduled.

As a grocery store employee, I keep wondering when COVID starts taking us down. Everybody keeps thanking nurses and doctors (which they should) but then they forget the truckers and grocery store employees who are NOT allowed to be decked out in PPE, just in case we frighten the customers into thinking we are sick, instead of being able to protect ourselves. People are NOT practicing social distance at all. I do realize medical staff is taking a bigger risk than we are but statistically speaking, it's a crapshoot of exposure for us, too. A lady thanked me the other day for being there and I almost burst into tears because she recognized the danger for everyone in that store. So please, I get that you're bored at home, but please stay away from the grocery unless you really need something, don't just wander around the store to burn daylight. ((stepping down from soapbox now)) Thank you for the work you do! You really do put yourself at risk in doing your job. I've often thought of my favorite cashier at Kroger and I hope she is ok. My next door neighbors are going out every chance they get. I don't get it. It's just the two of them and they are in their late sixties. The husband has heart problems. They go just to get a few items and "see how the shelf stocking is going." Our auto parts store is open and he decided he just had to have new windshield wipers so off he went to the store. Honestly, I think it could have waited.

Our local HEB was out of a lot of things today: ground beef, sweet potatoes, yellow onions, carrots, real unsalted butter, dried spaghetti, flour tortillas, dish soap, bleach, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer - what’s the deal? I thought there was no reason to buy more than normal? Apparently everyone has not gotten the memo! I went to the grocery store yesterday and there are a few reasons why I bought more than normal. I don't want to make a million trips to the grocery store. The less I'm out, the less I have exposed myself. I used to go to the grocery every three days. I'm not planning on returning for at least 2 weeks or more. I have three school age kids and they sometimes eat lunch at school (7 meals a week), my oldest teen would eat dinner out (3 meals a week), husband would eat lunch out (2 meals a week) and he and I would eat dinner out (2 meals a week). That's 14 extra meals a week at home. I have a triage of sorts for the food I bought. Fresh fruits and vegetables will be eaten first then frozen/canned. Berries and bananas will be eaten then come the oranges and apples since they keep longer.

If Bonnie's suggestion of cleaning it doesn't work I wonder if a professional knife sharpening would work? We have a local knife shop that sharpens all kinds of different blades. Google "professional knife sharpening near me".

I'll mail some to you. It won't be cheap, but if you really wanna try them I'm happy to help, seriously! Thank you for the offer! ❤️ The same chain (Kroger) has a couple of stores a little closer so I'll check those first, even though they weren't listed. There's also one mom & pop store I had forgotten about - they just opened recently. So I can check there too. I bought some at my Kroger store last night.

I am doing a Thursday night Yin yoga class and I love it. I've never done yoga before so the studio owner suggested I start with Yin because it's a small class, the poses are not difficult and the teacher is amazing. I'll be starting a six-week beginner course in mid-January and it comes with an unlimited class pass. I'm definitely going to go more than once a week during that time.
There are classes at our city recreation center (and they are very affordable) however I couldn't find a beginner class so I went with a private studio. The class at the studio is limited to a small number of students and I have been told that the teacher will come around to each student to make sure the pose is correct.
I never thought I would like yoga as much as I do!

If you have an Apple watch series 5 which size do you have? Do you have the 40mm or 44mm? Do you like the size that you have?
Thanks!

Two of my kids attend a private elementary/middle school. They are not allowed to have cell phones out during the school day. The parents and kids have to sign a form stating that the rule is understood. I know it might be hard to believe but the kids really do follow the rule. Collectively, we as parents spend big money on that school and we want the kids to learn as much as they can. (it's a school for kids with learning disabilities such as dyslexia along with adhd.) I think it really helps to have a small school with small classrooms and parents who are on the same page. I've asked several teachers and my kids if the rule is followed and everyone said yes. Each student is assigned a laptop computer for schoolwork. The computer is also brought home except over holidays then the computers are turned into the school. The school monitors the computers.
Of course the kids have a way around the rule. They do it old school, handwritten notes that are passed between them! How retro.
As soon as the kids are on their way home they start the snapchatting/instagramming.
Good for the French.

I wrap almost all of the presents I give. A wrapped present "feels" special to me. Pretty much the only time I use a gift bag is if the present is awkwardly shaped.
I once used plain, non-patterned wrapping paper on a large box and decorated it with cutout elephants that I made with my silhouette machine. Honestly, it really didn't take much time at all to do because I kept it simple. The reason I decorated it with cutout elephants was because I didn't have any bows or ribbon and the only paper I had was plain or birthday themed. The present was for a baby shower (sex of baby unknown). I couldn't get over how many people commented about how cute the box was.

There is a local Catholic high school that has washers, dryers and detergent available for free for the students to use. Most of the students are from low income families and work while going to high school. The school runs a work-study program which places students in a variety of jobs including office work. They recognized the need for students to have clean clothes to wear to school and job.
I remember my college days of going to a place that was a laundromat on one side and a bar on the other. It was great fun to have a beer, listen to live bands and sit on top of the dryer!

I had to toss a friend’sscrapbook Collection. It was not good. I would make sure your survivors know it is okay to get rid of such stuff. Paintings? You can reuse canvases. Check the high schools they may want them just for that. My husband and I need to make a will. I'm thinking about writing a letter to go with the will and other important papers (life insurance, house deed, etc). My letter will tell my 3 daughters to do what they want with the scrapbooks. I don't want them to feel any guilt at all about tossing them if that's what they want to do. I have already told them this but I think if it's in writing they will understand that I was serious about getting rid of the scrapbooks without any guilt. They already know how much pleasure scrapbooking brings to me but I don't want them to equate that to having to keep the books. I'll let them know in the letter that they can either keep, toss, scan or just keep a few of the pages that they like. I won't care. However, they have already had fights about who gets what scrapbook! (three daughters, 17, 12, 10 - they will probably change their mind about wanting the books when they are older)

THAT. I'm guessing there's a phone / security guard in the library, no? Security guards in a library? I honestly have never seen one anywhere I have been. Phones were located behind the check out counter but really I would venture the OP would have a cell phone. It's rare now a days not too. My local library always has a security guard on duty. Always. I live in an urban area and the library is in an old renovated mansion. It's beautiful and cool. However, it is the city and things get stolen or people get hassled for money when they want to be left alone. Hence, the guard. The guard roams the library and I'm sure he wouldn't be able to stay in one particular area (such as the second floor of the OPs library) for a long time. A good book is The Gift of Fear link

My dh's mom left when he was 5 (he has 3 older siblings). She met a guy at a conference and they stayed in touch. After awhile she just picked up, moved out of state and divorced her husband. She left to be with the man she had met at the conference. She didn't want custody of the kids and didn't see them for several years.
She eventually mended her relationships with her kids but it's still rocky (after 42 years).
My guess is your mom has a boyfriend.

My sister and her husband had one. My dad didn't go because he was afraid to fly. He was hurt that he couldn't attend (but he never voiced that to my sister). I didn't go because we had a toddler, I was pregnant and it would have cost lots of $$$.
My friends had a local wedding and then got "re-married" on a Caribbean beach during their honeymoon.

That's too bad. I remember watching an interview with her years ago. She was so smart and talented.
I had a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans when I was in high school. They were a prized possession. I worked my behind off to pay for those jeans.

Nope! Not in a million years would I bike to work/home in rush hour traffic. I've witnessed three different accidents that involved cyclists. One involved a city bus. Also, I had a friend in college who was struck by a car while riding a bike. She ended up in the hospital for a few days. I understand that you could also be involved in a car accident while driving but I feel you have a fighting chance in a car.
If you are nervous driving my guess is that you will be nervous riding a bike.

I think printers nowadays are programmed to self-destruct after 1 year. I'm looking for a printer too. My neighbor next door and my neighbor across the street are also looking. Our current printer which is now just a desk decoration is an Epson.
I'm willing to pay good money as long as the thing works for a few years.

My teenage daughter works retail and she hates having to ask the customers if they would like to donate. She does it because she is required to and she is big on following the rules and wants to do a good job.
Other than her having to question the customers she loves her job. She said she could care less if someone wants to donate or not. She has so many customers during her shift it doesn't even make a blip on her mind if someone donates or not.
What does bother her are the nasty customers who give her crap about it. She is a teen girl just trying to do her job and please her supervisor.

I just got in from taking a walk! I'm so glad to read that you don't necessarily have to take 10,000 to achieve good benefits.
My dad had a massive heart attack at the age of 65. As soon as he recovered he started walking. He walked 6 days a week and lived to be 85. Previous to his heart attack he didn't do any physical activity. He preferred mental activity such as reading about new things and playing bridge. He attributed his longevity to adding in the walking along with his mental activities.
