I finally, finally read a tip that helps with getting all the water out. Put your steamed or boiled cauliflower in a colander. Take a glass bowl and mash down on the cauliflower pushing all the water through the colander. Works like a charm - I then add cream cheese, butter, bacon bits and parmesan to make mashed cauliflower in the food processor.

I second the World Market option for beer. We have done this before for gifts - it's fun to get beer from different countries!

If you're interested, see the Titanic exhibit. Been to Branson many times but had never seen it. We were seriously impressed!

So very sorry for your loss. I lost my sister to small cell lung cancer in April. We were so very, very lucky that hers was found accidentally and we had 18 months with her after the diagnosis. It's a horrible disease and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Wow - I certainly wish there was a universal 'like' button also - I've tried to hit every one but if I missed any it was certainly not intentional.
I, too, missed this the first time but I'm so happy I found it this time. I am so proud of each and every one of your amazing children but I'd like to also say how very proud and impressed I am by you parents. Those are not even the right words - it should be so, so much more! You are such strong, determined and loving parents who have worked so very hard and advocated so very hard for your children. I cannot begin to say what my heart is feeling about you. Congratulations on each and every victory!

I completely understand - I lost my sister in April to lung cancer. I see a breast specialist every six month for an exam and it was this week. It was fine but I was a wreck for fear I would have to tell my mother and brother that I had breast cancer. The good news - my sister who passed away was a 10 year breast cancer survivor, my aunt is a 25 year survivor and my mother who has had breast cancer twice is 83 years old.

I don't know exactly how to put this but after reading Page 1 I go to page 2. I read a thread and when I used the 'back' button to return to page 2 it sends me to an old, old page. Any ideas?
This does not happen on Page 1 - only on subsequent pages.

I am very sorry for your loss and I know exactly how you feel. I'm very glad to read some of these suggestions for the next time I absolutely HAVE to go. I really do NOT go unless there is just no other choice. Like you I don't want to be a distraction and upset to the family.

We just returned from a week long road trip - Oklahoma to New Mexico (just to spend the night) on to Colorado Springs - Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Through Wyoming to South Dakota. It was wonderful! We want to do Yellowstone but decided it needed a trip of its own. We spent the most time in South Dakota - Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis. I recommend driving Iron Mountain Road and the Needles Highway, Custer State Park. Went into Wyoming to Devil's Tower. If you have any questions, feel free to message me!

I admire your courage and your stance. When I had an unruly teenager I read once: God doesn't promise that we will be leading at the half - only that we will win the game. I hope that happens for you.

Not that I'm happy that so many are dealing with this - but it is such a relief to hear because my mother is the SAME way. WHATEVER I've done that day or bought or eaten - she wishes she could do that too but she's too old, or sick, or whatever! I'm trying soooo hard to be positive and happy around her but I just want to cry every time I get off the phone or leave her house.

I'm responding ONLY to those who say that good officers protect bad ones. What hurts is painting all officers with the same brush. My SIL is a LEO - there was a bad officer who was videotaped abusing a suspect. My SIL testified AGAINST that officer and that officer was fired. After a year in the courts the police department was ordered by the court to reinstate the officer and give him back pay. Please consider this when you feel that they protect each other to the end.
