All white people die or only those who wont raise their fists in black solidarity. Why do you hate white men so much? You are married to a white male who comes from a "rich" family and you have a white son. You have a white daughter married to a white ultra rich guy. You will have white male and female grandchildren god willing. Should they be cancelled or lose their place because of the color of their skin? You are worried about your business being closed now....go ahead and give it away to someone more deserving of you. I am not apologizing for being white. What matters to me is that I am a good person. I think you believe everything you read as fact, because they say it is fact checked. But alot of it is circular fact checking. Just Vote your heart and I will Vote my heart. As I said the other day, one of us will be on the right side of history. This is a necessary read. Kinda scary but helpful to see what’s driving the other side. 2016 shocked me but 2020 isn’t the year to be blindsided by someone’s hatred of me. |

I can’t begin to count the number of people I’ve had to cut off because they were silent during the 2016 elections or when it become very clear America had a problem prosecuting LEO who kill Black people. Life long friendships gone. The troubling part was coming to terms with the fact they were never my friends to begin with. My twopeas experience kind of got conflated with my real life realization that white women aren’t the friends I thought they were. While tough you will certainly come out on the other side a much better person for it. It’s perfectly normal to want to be surrounded by people who have views that align with your own. My current circle is full of women who I can now talk to about anything. No pacifying. No mincing words. No one making it all about them. There is something to be said about like minds 🤷🏾♀️
Even before the pandemic this issue was life or death for me so anyone who supports 45 or aligns with conservative views....dead to me. I think people forget there is a right and wrong to this shit. None of this is an agreed to disagree type of thing.

I am not a minority member and these organizations still scare the hell out of me. I hope some administration in our near future makes a point to eradicate the hate group once and for all. The other thing I often wonder is why criminal organizations with mostly Black membership haven’t made killing all members of these hate groups a priority. Like how can you be a reputable gang member if your community isn’t safe from outsiders?🤷🏾♀️ |

Say what you what but I can’t think of one liberal pea as excited about Joe Biden at least not enough to organize a neighborhood parade in his honor 🤷🏾♀️ We’ve got a lot of whiners and folks who “recognize” injustice but not enough folks doing actionable things to say hey I really tried to turn this thing around. Maybe she never returns to the thread because after she incites everyone they go out on those golf carts canvassing or donating to Kyle Rittenhouse’s GoFundMe Yeah, I'm not exactly excited about him (mostly I live with a permanent sense of existential dread) but for the first time ever in my very Republican community, the liberals are hoping to self-fund and staff a Democratic/Biden office next door to the Trump Victory Center. We always do phone banking, canvassing, etc. but this year it feels important to have a loud, visual counter-presence to the Trumpers and a place for quiet Biden supporters to come in for supplies and support. There is a county office a couple towns away but having something in the community may make a difference this year. So no, maybe not the excitement of a golf cart parade but more grim resolution that we're not going to the let the Leones of this world determine the outcome of the election this time. Excited to hear it! |

I'm not necessarily "excited" for Joe, but I am phone-banking, part of a texting bank, and plan to sign up to help with polling places in my area. I'm donating to various freedom funds (Milwaukee most recently). I encourage everyone here to take at least one action: donation, phone-banking, canvassing, election work, or other! Action. Not posting here, not posting on social media. Money or work/time. I hear you! ETA - And I don’t think the OP organized this parade. She just participated in it. I wasn’t talking about the political engagement of The Villiages though. Leone already shows us how active they are. Keep it mind it doesn’t matter if you organize the revolution, or are simply in attendance folks |

I read this in 45’s voice complete with hand gestures for some reason. 🥴 Ouch. Not what I was getting at at all. I know what you were getting at. I’m used to peas questioning the validity of a study. When I say many of you are predictable it’s not a jab it’s in the most literal sense. However your response was as if you didn’t read the study at all but still wanted to speak as if you did. Very reminiscent of 45’s attempts at presidential behavior. |

My daughter's extremely difficult pregnancy & delivery was overseen by her OBGYN who was a POC. His skin color was never even a thought in my mind. He was a fantastic doctor who put my daughter & grandson first & made sure they came through the delivery safely. In my experience, male white OBGYN's are not as receptive. My first two children were delivered by white male's, both experiences were terrible. My last two children were delivered by a female & I had a completely different experience. I tried to talk my daughter into seeing a female, but she was very comfortable with her doctor, who I met & felt the same. I'm so happy he safely brought my grandson into this world & saved my daughter's life. I hope this story is investigated fully. I find it reprehensible & horrifying. I think in addition to racism effecting the best medical outcomes, what we will find out about white men is many of them are in positions they aren’t deserving of. It’s not that they aren’t receptive it’s that they aren’t smart enough and the false bravado and shit attitude covers up the lack.The college scandals of 2019 should have shown folks that merit means very little to some people. |

There was a news conference today. The question was asked about the mom driving him. The official didn't know the answer to that question. Even if she didn’t drive him there she raised a human being capable of what he did. It would seem a huge part of the ending racism starts with how white men are raised. |

If society can’t figure out a solve by which Black people can exist without fear, does society even deserve a society. I don’t have a crystal ball though I’m sure I’m not the only Black person okay with EVERYTHING burning to the ground if it meant defunding the police
