Okay, I’m 60+ and recognize a lot of those things from my grandmother’s house. A few from my childhood. nlwilkins I have my grandmother’s cast iron pans — they were so perfectly seasoned to start. They are definitely more than 50 years old.

Jim Carrey. I mean he plays the part well, but he really only has one character.

I agree. I always blind bake the crust. It’s a bit crisper that way. The eggs can make it soggy.

Don't forget Murder by Numbers! Yet another Gosling version. Anyhow, I am not a big Woody Harrelson fan, but I think he has surprising range. And Heath Ledger when he was alive -- man. Woody Harrelson was amazing in the first season of True Detective. I think Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins are both versatile. Such a wide range of roles for both.

Well, that changed fast. By the time the news was released he was already walking it back and saying there will be another vote tomorrow (Friday).

I totally disagreed with their blue connection, which said it was “past tense verbs”. Will and May are not past tense verbs. I was joking around with DD about it being the category of “leftover words” and went to pull it back up. My board had been cleared, so I entered the blue terms again and was surprised to see that they changed the category to “irregular verbs”. Must have had a few complaints? Not enough editing up front? What do you think?

My 15 year old cat in my avatar wakes me up at 5am by sitting on my pillow and howling. When I get up, he dives under the covers to steal my warm spot. And he goes to sleep.

I have some athlete slacks and joggers from Athleta that are super comfy. Usually with a tee and a cardigan. Closed toe shoes because my feet get cold. I have precheck so I don’t take my shoes off at security. Mostly in comfortable layers. Planes are so ridiculously uncomfortable.

I have everything in my closet, and it fits fine. I just cull it out regularly. I have long sleeves and sweaters on one rod, and then short sleeves and tanks on a second rod. Pants and shorts are in the dresser. Dresses and skirts on their own rod. If I had less closet space, I’d probably switch things out.

I can't think of any specific restaurants but one of my bucket list trips is to tour the coast of Maine. I'd love to eat some really good lobster there while overlooking the ocean. I will totally second this! And I’ll combine it with touristy places we’ve never been for $500. The answer is Acadia NP and eating lobster on the coast! We were up there last week. One of my highlights was takeout lobster rolls from Beals, eaten at Seawall while a small herd of deer chowed down on the grass next to us. Man, that lobster roll was really good.

I hear you. I left the house at 9 this morning and just got home at 2. Took mom for blood work and a cardiologist appt. Right now it’s a more than part time job for me. Thankfully I’m not working on any paid gigs at the moment.

Are there any restaurants/fast food place you always hear about that you would like to try one day? The three I want to visit one day are: - Waffle House - Cracker Barrel - Whataburger I know Waffle House is not great, but I would like to experience it once. 😂 We passed a couple when we were in Georgia one year. Waffle House is my secret love. I just love their waffles. I love their sticky tables. I love their total friendliness. I drag my kids there every time I’m in the South (we don’t have them here.) My kids are like, “Moooooom, that’s where you go after a night of partying, yuck!” I finally got to try the Popeye’s famous chicken sandwich last week. It was delicious.

I wish my kids lived close enough to celebrate with in person, but they don’t. So they get cash and a happy birthday call. Sometimes I get them a present if I see something perfect, but I’m not that great a gift-giver so that doesn’t happen all that often, hence the cash.

I get called every three years, like clockwork. Massachusetts has a one day or one trial every three years rule, so once you get called, you don’t get called again for three years. Every time I’ve been called I’ve been sent home. Sometimes it’s because a settlement was made, and the rest of the time one of the lawyers turns me down after initial questioning. I’d love to actually serve on one, but I’ve been called since I was in college and always sent home.
Anyone see the show ‘Jury Duty’? It’s awesomely funny.

I like almost any kind of egg. Poached is my fave. Whites have to be cooked through, but I hate when fried eggs have those crispy edges (hence favoring poached.)

I’m sorry, that’s a hard thing to go through with all the memories. As to the towels, you didn’t like them enough to actually use them, so why not donate them? Or use them until they get dingy and then donate to the shelter.

I loved the theme for Succession. The discordant notes were perfect. I also love the theme for Outlander. Especially this season with Sinead O’Connor singing it. For movies, Out of Africa is still my favorite. Others include Driving Miss Daisy and Pirates of the Caribbean. And, well, Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Anything scored by John Williams is a personal favorite. He’s a national treasure.

I really like the “gangsta grass” theme song for Justified. Also the intro to True Blood.
I can’t think of anything I hate — most of them are just forgettable.

I met the conductor and several musicians from the Knoxville symphony, so I’d go looking to see if they were playing. Superb musicians.

I drive my mom. I need room for her wheelchair and a handy curb cut, so I use the handicapped spot. My husband has a placard too, but he’d leave the handicap spot for someone who needs the van access.

Open so the cat can come and go. He’s getting dementia and howls bloody murder at night if he can’t find us right away. That and the heat and AC are more balanced with the doors open.

Not surprised at Rhode Island. But I really think Massachusetts should be high on that list. I’ve spent a lot of time driving in Boston this week.

Quirky? How 'bout a piano bar like Don't Tell Mama, or if you're more the raucous sing-along type, Marie's Crisis? If the weather's nice, definitely grab yourself a bagel and schmear, and sit yourself down on a bench in Central Park. It's great people-watching. If it's rainy and/or you're a whimsical type, grab a meal (or tea) at Alice's Tea Cup. I wouldn't recommend it on weekends or during after-school hours, though, unless you have a high tolerance for groups of little girls. I had the time of my life with my kids (grown) at Marie’s Crisis. It was Halloween.

Right now? Two. I close things out when I finish with them. I close everything at the end of the day and I make sure to restart my phone every couple days. Keeps everything running smoothly. I do the same with my laptop, but tend to have a lot open at once while I’m working.

This reminds me of our beloved Sophie. I never could get her to ring the bells to go out, but eventually the cat would ring them for her. We loved her so much, and so did the cat.
