What colors do you love to pair together? Grey & white combined with at least one other color (e.g. grey/white/navy, pale grey/white/purple/teal, charcoal/white/red/black)
What colors do you look for when buying paper? I gravitate toward neutrals & cool colors.
Do you have a favorite paper brand that offers those colors together? Given the industry is currently (stereotypically) feminine/floral, retro/vintage/distressed/dated, &/or yellow (lots of unusual shades that IMHO often visually dominate), crisp, clean, neutral &/or cool color palettes are scarce (& Pinkfresh - & its few collaborations with Geralyn Sy/IACB, which likely did it best - are on a scrapbooking break ATM).

What are things you like/dislike about your craftroom?I like everything, since the aesthetic & functionality of the space is tailored to me! Specifically, I like the large windows, hardwood floors with area rug, attached bath, spacious walk-in-closet to corral memorabilia/printed photos/bulky & extra items/etc., counter-height project table, leaning shelves/bookcases to store paper/embellishments, a 5-wide & shallow-drawer counter-height cabinet that houses stamping supplies, cube-style bookcases with counter for diecutting/embossing, & an oversized chair with ottoman & side table for taking a break, drafting journaling, creating or perusing sketches, etc. Things you wish you had?Nothing. However, I'm considering adding a standard height table/desk (as an alternative to the comfy chair for typing journaling, sketching layouts, etc.) but am concerned it may interrupt the current flow & uncuttered feel of the room. Any pictures to share of your space or others that you love? For inspiration, check out the following: - Jana Eubank - Deb Rector - Keisha Charles

... I don’t see much detail in the listing ... This is a pet peeve; IMHO there is no excuse for companies to omit basic information from product descriptions.

Perhaps the designs appear "fuzzy" because they're printed on textured/non-smooth paper. I don't gravitate toward the brand's vintage aesthetic, so I've only purchased a couple non-themed patterned papers by-the-sheet. While I also appreciated the texture & weight of CB papers, I was disappointed the colors were darker & drab in person compared to the product photos (viewed on both my laptop & phone screens), making the patterns barely noticeable.

Given the (misleading) thread title, I was hoping this was an eyewitness report that HL (& wishfully the other big box craft stores) no longer exclusively carried its house brand knockoffs & name brand supplies are back on its shelves. Unfortunately, theft happens everywhere (in Phoenix, AZ, & around the world). Glad no one was (physically) injured, & may this anecdote be a sad reminder to every reader that we must be vigilant everywhere.

Ugh! I don't buy most ephemera due to its heavy theming & often poor quality (e.g. improperly cut, images aren't centered, colors don't match papers).

I exclusively scrap at home & stand at my counter-height project table that is situated in the middle of the room. Not only do I like the "bird's eye" perspective to get things straight, but it enables me to easily access supplies & put-away-as-I-go. I have a saddle stool that I rarely lean on & an oversized comfy chair in the corner of the room where I sit to take a break, sketch, draft journaling, etc.

Hi all, this is something we're still actively working on. We unfortunately have no way to manually approve the reviews that were marked as "processing". Those are getting blocked due to too many reviews coming from the same device (an anti-spam measure, we're told). I met with Shopper Approved last week and they're working on a solution for us, but it will require some changes to how their system works and they're not yet sure how long that would take. For now, the best I can say is that any product reviews submitted through the survey link you receive in your email are going through correctly, and any reviews submitted with the Write A Review button (either on the product page or your order status page) should go through also up until it believes you've submitted too many. Sorry for the ongoing frustration. For those with reviews that are stuck, if nothing else, we can add points manually for you once this is resolved. Uncertain whether this was previously corrected, but please note that I'm currently unable to leave product reviews (as described above). TIA. We did look at this when you mentioned it previously - I think what's happening when the pop-up appears blank is that particular product wasn't synced over correctly and so the review system doesn't know about it. If you'd like to send me a couple examples I can see if we can reproduce on our end or not. Thanks for your response. It appears you've confused me with another poster (perhaps pantsonfire, whom I quoted), since I've never encountered/mentioned this issue before. Note I neither received a survey link via email nor can even input one review using the button, since the pop-up is blank for every product purchased!

Among the current trends/products skipped because they're not my style/preference/etc.: - Kit clubs - Projects (e.g. DITL, WITL, DD, JYC) - Non-12x12 albums - Digitals - Electronic cutting machines (for either metal dies or cutfiles) - Foiling, letterpress or gel plate printing, & other cardmaking-related techniques - Product-heavy layouts - Embellishments made with epoxy, acetate, & other non-archival materials - Overabundance of florals, floral-adorned objects (e.g. paintbrush, ghosts, stand mixers, roller skates) - 49 & Market, Inked brands, etc. ... & so many more!

Hmm, when I click on write review, nothing pops up. IIRC there was no button previously; I simply clicked on the empty text box below each listed/purchased item & began typing. There now is a Write A Review button that I click on to get a pop-up, but I cannot type/insert words on the pop-up screen! I do see the issue you're describing about nothing happening when you click on the Write a Review button - we'll look into that and get that fixed ASAP. Uncertain whether this was previously corrected, but please note that I'm currently unable to leave product reviews (as described above). TIA.

My "dream" craft room is mine, since the aesthetic & functionality of the space is tailored to me! The devoted room has an attached bath, spacious walk-in-closet, large windows, & hardwood floors with area rug. Situated in the middle of the room is a counter-height project table, along one wall are two leaning shelves/bookcases which store paper/embellishments & flank a 5-wide & shallow-drawer counter-height cabinet that houses stamping supplies, another wall features a cube-style bookcase that holds diecutting/embossing supplies, & in one corner beside the windows is an oversized chair with ottoman & side table for taking a break, drafting journaling, creating or perusing sketches, etc. Inside the closet is memorabilia/printed photos/wrapping paper/bulky & extra items/etc. All furniture is Pottery Barn (& in a black finish, except for the wheat-stained project table & white slipcovered chair & ottoman).

Do you find yourself buying a lot of backups to the supplies you love and own? Bazzill cardstock (in frequently-used colors) & E-Z Runner adhesives (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L) are the only supplies that I buy multiples per order & restock to always have on hand. My only duplicate tools are scissors (ie two pairs each of Cutter Bee Precision & WRM Spring Loaded Scissors) & pens (a couple black Sakura Pigma Micro pens in the same nib/mm size).
How much of consumable supplies do you feel like you need so you don't run out or get caught short without them? None, but prefer at least one extra adhesive runner & a couple sheets of cardstock in each frequently-used color.
Do you buy back ups of things that you worry will get discontinued or be out of stock frequently? Only adhesive & cardstock (in frequently-used colors)
Do you ever feel like you have too much of a stock of something, or does it make you feel comfortable having several backups? No Where or how do you store all your back up supplies? All cardstock is stored together by manufacturer then texture & loosely by color in magazine-style holders, a new adhesive runner & pen in the top drawer of my project table, & any extras (i.e. adhesives, scissors, & pens) together in a bin in the craft room closet.
Do you ever wish you did not have that much of a supply stored? No

Seaside Holiday: ... Plus when I looked closely I realized the paper that says Hawaii is actually the lyrics to Mele Kalikimaka, which I have listened to in the snowy NE every year of my life. Good catch! ETA: As an aside: Note Trinity Stamps - Mele Kalikimaka stamp set is currently free with an order subtotalling $15+ at SB.com - see details here!

Thanks for your responses. My top three (in no particular order) are:
- Tsukineko for its inks (e.g. Versafine Clair, VersaMark) - Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L for its original EZ-Runners - [Tie] Simple Stories &/or Echo Park for their stencils

I exclusively scrapbook & must be satisfied with each step in the process before proceeding, so I'm always content with finished layouts & love that each documents another story about our (now college-aged) son.

Do you sell any of your creations---scrapbooking or other paper-crafting? And if so, do you sell on Etsy, FB Marketplace, local shows, your own website, other? No, I exclusively scrapbook with our (college-age) son as my primary subject...so nothing to sell.

My approach has always been story-focused with a simple/clean/linear/minimalist/"magazine-ish" style. I may incorporate trends that I like but certainly don't conform to them.

Flat, which is consistent with my style & preferences while maximizing space in albums. Slight dimension is sometimes added via memorabilia, a couple layers of hidden cardstock behind unmatted photos &/or diecut letters/titles, thin foam dots/squares, stenciling with glaze/paste, &/or enamel dots.
