My parents nor anyone in my extended family had one while I was growing up and my parents still don’t. My mom doesn’t like traveling in the US, much less overseas, lol. I had one for a trip I took to Korea 12 years ago, but it’s now expired. My youngest ds is going to Germany next summer so I’m getting ready to get his now. I think I’ll go ahead & renew mine at the same time. DH has been talking for a while now about wanting to travel overseas & we probably will since our kids are almost all out of the house.

I’m 56 and a couple years ago, I was having a terrible time with my skin. I was trying lots of different products hoping to find something that would help. I finally decided to go back to basics & see if that would help. I starting using Dove soap, Thayers witch hazel, a light moisturizer for daytime and a heavier one for nighttime. After a little more trial & error, I starting using Bliss Pore Patrol for day and Bliss Rose Gold for night. Within a few months, my skin improved dramatically. I really believe less is more. A gentle cleanser & toner and a moisturizer can be all she needs

We have our tv over our fireplace, which I hate. I feel like that’s the biggest mistake we made when we moved into this house. There is space underneath to put small items & I can put taller items on the sides without interfering with the tv. On one side I have a tall thin floral arrangement, a grouping of b&w photos and 2 candles. On the other side, I have 2 Asian lady figurines that DH bought me in Korea. I usually put small seasonal decorations in the small space under the tv. Right now, dd’s diploma & mortarboard are there. I used them as part of the decorations for her party this year & I just left them. Now that she’s left for college, I guess I’ll take them down and maybe put something up for Fall.

Doesn’t the US have some type of military installation buried under Greenland’s ice? Maybe that’s what he wants to get his hands on. 😁

So, so, so happy Kat went home -- she was so annoying with all that crying and attacking Cliff for his actions. Good riddance. I am so excited that things could change in the house if Cliff, Nicole, and Jessica team up temporarily with Jackson and Holly then they can vote out Nick, Christie, Tommy and Sis. I hope so too! I really, really dislike Jackson but I think he’s going to be hard at getting out of the house since he’s so good at comps. I would love to see him help get out those 4.

It wouldn’t have bothered me. The hibachi places around here do the same thing, but I’m not sure if it’s a regular bottle or the little boy one. I don’t like or dislike it, never thought if it as inappropriate. But since it did bother you, I don’t see a problem with mentioning it to the manager. They probably won’t stop since it’s a pretty standard part of what they do, so I guess it’s up to you whether you go again.

Julie did say it, I was pretty shocked especially considering they had just talked about Jack saying something about rice pudding to Bella and it’s potential to sound racist. Jack denied that it did. Anyway, as she was wrapping up the interview and they weren’t going to be able to show Jack the HG’s goodbye messages, Julie said “ Don’t worry, we won’t GYP you, they will be shown to you on BB after dark.

I have a side by side which I love. I really prefer having shelves in the freezer. Mine is plenty wide to hold everything I want. There is a beverage door on the refrigerator side which I also love. I do have a deep freezer as well so that helps. In our last house, we had a French door with freezer on the bottom & I hated it for many reasons, but especially because the freezer was a disorganized mess. The French doors had to be closed just so or it wouldn’t close properly. Came home after vacation once to a refrigerator full of spoiled food.

I’ve had good results with Sol de Janeiro’s Samba Foot Fetish. I use the file after showering, not in the shower. I like it better than anything else I’ve everr used, even the battery operated ones. And, the foot cream is great-smells really nice & is non greasy. What's the fragrance like in this one? . I think it’s like a lighter version of the bum bum cream. Reminds me of the beach

Just disgusting. I saw another one where his supporters were shown choking a cardboard cutout of AOC. These people are so vile.

I organized my pantry, like Pinterest organized . Most everything is in plastic or glass jars with labels on them. I have a few lazy susans for things like vinegars, oils & spices. Then I have cute baskets for everything else. It looks so nice now, makes me happy every time I open the pantry door.

It's the third day of school. We read Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes and discussed the meaning of the words wilted and bloomed. My students used those words in sentences and made a picture to go with them. I got them hung in the hall with the ELA standard. That is one of my favorite children’s books!

I don’t know anyone personally. I live very close to Noblesville and know a few parents whose children went there. I can also think of a number of people I do know who have been affected by gun violence, but not at a mass shooting.

I thought you didn't go to the grocery store. I thought you hadn't been inside a grocery store in ages. At least that's what you said two days ago. Haven’t been back since I started doing pick up, that’s true. Do they use plastic bags? They do here. That was one of the reasons I stopped doing pick up. If there was a way to use reusable bags or even paper bags, I’d go back to using pick up.

I would continue to use them. I don’t see cross contamination as an issue. I use my mesh ones for thin skinned produce like peaches & tomatoes and for bulk produce like Brussels sprouts & snow peas. I don’t use them for meat. If I get meat from the cooler, I will use plastic bags, just seems gross to me otherwise. I try to buy most of my meat from the meat counter though, so it’s wrapped in paper. I wash my mesh bags after every use.

In other words, he’s not going to do anything about gun reform unless he gets his way on immigration reform. SMDH. Just more empty words.

My daughter is a freshman & she moves into her dorm Aug 14, classes start Aug 19. My son is is a sophomore moving into an off campus apartment. He leaves Aug 26 and classes start Aug 29. My husband is also going out of town the last 2 weeks of Aug. The house is going to be so quiet! Just me and my HS sophomore.

Wonder what the blow up was all about. On the live show last night, Julie said something big happened right before the vote. There seemed to be a lot of tension between Jack & Jackson, both sitting with their arms crossed and not smiling or interacting with the group. Jackson especially was angry, didn’t even say goodbye to Sam. Jessica better nominate them for eviction or have a plan to backdoor one of them. Or take a shot at Christie. Sadly, she’ll probably nominate someone from the other side because they’ll get in her ear and play on her emotions.

I read about this last night and it appears it’s wealthy families that are doing it. One family in particular had already spent $600K on 2 kids and now couldn’t afford to send their 3rd child. Maybe they should have chosen less expensive schools instead of commiting fraud and taking money from students who really needed it.
I do agree that college costs are outrageous and the middle class is being hurt the most. My parents were lower middle class & we didn’t qualify for any grants other than student loans. They really couldn’t afford it either, my grandparents paid for some & I took out loans/had scholarships. I was in Illinois where this happened. I would have loved to have gone to UoI, but went to the more affordable ISU instead.

Since we don’t know her tone of voice, I can’t really say if she was bitchy or rude. Her words alone don’t really seem that way to me. And I wouldn’t call someone stupid just because she didn’t know the ins & outs of chip reader compliance. Disinterested maybe, but not stupid or bitchy.

At the place I go to most frequently, you can pay for a reserved table near the front and then all lawn chairs are set up behind and to the sides of the tables. However, there is still plenty of empty space in front of the stage. Anyone can and does stand there once the concert begins. There is a bit of an incline from the stage to the seating area, so even if you are at the tables, you can still see the stage.

I was so annoyed with this week’s eviction. I couldn’t believe the other side of the house wouldn’t try to get Jack out, he’s a much bigger threat than Bella not to mention a bigger jerk. I think the HG voted more on emotion than game play. Bella was awful to some of them but she wasn’t really a threat. They have to break up the 6 shooters! I wish they’d realize that instead of “ keeping their word”
