I wash them separately. I use a lot of kitchen towels & wash cloths, several per day. I also use cloth placemats & napkins which I wash with the towels so I have a full load weekly.

Blech, I was hoping Tommy would win and try to get Jackson out. I don’t see anyway that Jackson won’t make it to F2 and I don’t think the jury will be bitter enough to not vote for him to win. I really don’t want him to win, but I think he will.

I’ve just found myself in the middle of some “ Reply all” drama and I’m not sure how I’m going to handle it. I belong to a Newcomers group with over 200 members. I’m the POC for a smaller group that does things like movies, plays, dinners etc. Anyone can suggest an activity and just emails the group. Some people will RSVP to just the email sender & some will do a reply all. There have been some grumblings about the reply all’s but no one has actually said anything about. Well, one woman just sent out an email requesting not to do a reply all. Now, other people are emailing me saying they like the reply all because then they know who is attending. I don’t really care one way or the other. My personal opinion is if you don’t like getting extra emails just delete them. If you want to go to an activity, just go, it shouldn’t matter who else is going. That’s the whole point of our club-to meet new people. I don’t think there’s really a way to make everyone happy. Any ideas?

I don’t really understand why Jessica was his target, she’s not a big threat. He should have tried to backdoor Tommy or Christie.

It’s never okay to give someone’s child medication without asking & I am far from being a helicopter parent. I suppose if you know the child really well & you know the child can have something like Tylenol, it would be okay. I would be sure to tell the parent ASAP. I’m not really sure why you would need to give Benadryl or Zyrtec in the middle of the night.
My daughter was in theater & I often worked the green room. Every child had a medical form on file that gave permissions for medication. One time a child asked me for a Tylenol, she was practically crying, She said her mother was okay with it. In that instance, I couldn’t find the medical forms, the girl kept pleading with me to give it to her. Her mother was working in another area & after about 15 minutes, I found her. She told me her dd could not in fact have the medicine, she reacted to it badly. I’m so glad I waited until I was able to talk to the mother. I knew the girl pretty well & she was very convincing!
As for the mother at the sleepover, I think the worst part was her saying everyone wanted them when she gave them to her kids. That is so not okay. Since when is it appropriate to give medicine to kids because everyone’s doing it? Also, she shouldn’t have been drinking while hosting a slumber party. That’s a big No from me.

I’ve been pulled over 3 times. First was in Chicago for driving on the median. It was a 4 lane road with a low median leading up to the left turn lane. If I hadn’t, I would have never gotten in the left turn lane because every car does this at this type of intersection. The PO pulled over several cars & we all got tickets. The second time I got pulled over was for my license plate light being out. The PO just told me to get if fixed, no ticket. The third time was for going 40 in a 30. The PO just gave me a warning, no ticket.

I went last weekend to my favorite farm around here and got honey crisp. I'm so glad I went because they are already all gone at the farm. It's a large farm and they have many varieties, but the honey crisp go fast. They also have a sunflower patch & they were beautiful-got a lot of great pictures.

I stopped teacher gifts in 6th grade. I like what our PTO does for grades 5-12. They have a luncheon 2x a year and in addition to the food they gift all the teachers with gift cards & classroom supplies. Parents make all the donations. I donated food & gift cards every time. In HS, my dd did buy gifts for some of her favorite teachers, but she handled that.

I still have mine-preserved & in a box in my closet. I look at it every time we move-7 times in 21 years. It hasn’t yellowed, it still looks the same. I’m not sure why I’m keeping it, my dd sure doesn’t want it. My kids don’t want kids, so probably no grandkids either. I guess I just like looking at it 😁
At one time, I had 7 bridesmaids dresses. I took them to my cousin’s house for a garage sale. They didn’t sell, go figure. After the sale, she just put everything in her basement, that was over 20 years ago. As far as I know, they are still in her basement. 😋

As a Colts fan living in Indy, I’m just appalled at the fans who boo’d him. It’s inexcusable. I used to think we had some of the best & most loyal fans (with all our sports teams) I’m now rethinking that.

I liked seeing the fallout of Taco Tuesday and how Christy was able to get the votes turned. The watermelon bit was funny but Christie chewing is just gross. I agree! I meant to mention this last week & the watermelon bit reminded me. Did anyone see Jackson eating frozen broccoli right out of the bag? Gross! He really has some questionable eating habits 😁

#1-I told them when I was about 8 weeks. I had been with the company for a long time & was friends with my bosses. My direct supervisor was male & the department head was female.
#2-I was with a different company & I had only been there about 8 months. I knew I would be quitting that job in a few months since we had a military PCS move coming up. I never told them I was pregnant until I gave my notice. I was 20 weeks. I was showing slightly, but not wearing maternity clothes. A few people said they suspected, but no one wanted to ask. There was really no particular reason why I didn’t tell them, I just didn’t think it was necessary.

Oh, I assumed Nick could take himself off. Apparently, Holly wants Nick to go. Another week of Christie... Me too. This is another power that backfired. Maybe there will be a twist... Yes, something else needs to happen. This is getting boring. I don’t care for either Nick or Christie, but it seems like Jackson is just walking his way to $500K.

I heard some Colts fans booed him when he left the field. I’m from Indy and, I agree, shame on them. I know fans are upset especially if they just bought season tickets, but it’s probably Isray’s fault more than Luck’s (the timing). He’s had so many injuries and he wasn’t even at training camp, so I’m not surprised. I’ll miss him, he seemed like a good guy.

I used a paste of Oxiclean and water. I did a portion of the floor at a time. I would put the paste on, wait about 15 minutes and then use a soft scrub brush. Then wipe with a microfiber cloth. It was a PITA, but my floors looked beautiful afterwards. This was for my old house, almost the whole first floor & all the bathrooms were stone tile with light grout. When we built our current house, we went with darker grout and tile only in the bathrooms 😁

Now, I’m intrigued. For those of you (especially the European peas) who don’t tip housekeeping, do you tip skycaps, bellhops, valets or the person who brings something you request to your room? We tip all of these people, that’s what I was told to do way back when I started traveling regularly. I’ve been doing this for many years, so I don’t think it’s part of the “tipping is out of control” issue.

I’ve never tipped housekeeping. I never will. Tipping is out of control. I had no idea. We have never tipped for housekeeping. Yep, tipping is out of control. My husband always traveled the world, and it was never anything he felt he was to do. When did this become a "thing"? Just curious. It’s been a thing for a while in my experience. I first learned of it & started tipping housekeeping back when I was traveling for work and that was over 20 years ago. I do agree with you that some tipping is out of control, but I don’t think tipping housekeeping is, it’s not a new thing like tip jars at every place you go into.

We tip at least $10/day, but that’s for 2 rooms . We keep our rooms neat, some days we just ask for towels & tp. I know it’s not required, but I’m already spending money left & right while I’m on vacation, a small daily tip is really nothing & not even missed by us. And, I think the staff really appreciates it.

I have a freshman & a sophomore. We are paying everything for dd (freshman) that wasn’t covered by her scholarships. She just pays for incidentals, eating out, etc . She doesn’t have a car on campus. We will also be giving her a small $ amount each month directly deposited into her account.
Our ds ( sophomore) is a little different. He really let his grades drop in HS, so we thought by having him take some responsibility with college costs might help him keep his grades up. It did not, unfortunately. His first year, we did pay about half (plus a monthly allowance). Also, he had use of a car that we paid for & carried the insurance. He paid for gas & maintenance. This year, he’s going to move into an apartment and go to a community college in the hopes that he can get back on track. He’s been working all summer & has a good amount saved for the apartment. We will pay for his tuition & he will still have use of the car.

Regular clothes for all schools in our district and surrounding districts. I live just outside of Indianapolis and all the public schools in that district wear uniforms. My kids went to a Catholic elementary school and I was very surprised ( and a little disappointed) that they did not have uniforms.

I watch more for the pros than anything else, so it really doesn’t matter to me who the “ stars” are, I still enjoy watching it. Sometimes, I end up really liking someone I had never heard of before. This year, I’m looking forward to Karamo, Kate Flannery (loved Meredith), Lauren Alaina, and God help me, Spicy ( a little dumbfounded that he’s on, though).
