Pass it to the left my friend! Cracks my DS and DDIL up when I go to visit them in Washington that one of the first things I ask to do is go to the dispensary for some cannabis tourism. When I came back home last time, I texted them after a couple of days with a whiny "I miss weed" message. I run pretty technical trail a lot and it does a nice job fighting inflammation plus doesn't tear up my system like ibuprofen does. Can I ask what strain you are using to treat inflammation?

We still use our landline because our cell reception is pretty crappy in our house. Apparently we are on the very edge of the coverage area for our closest cell tower because we live on a ravine overlooking a river.

I think Afternoon Swim by Louis Vuitton is the very definition of a light, fresh smelling perfume. I bought it thinking it would be a summer fragrance for me, as I tend to wear heavier scents in the fall and winter. But I’m still wearing it every day! It’s a bit expensive but it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Lately I’m really hating it all. Mainly because I do it all and feel like the maid. It massively pisses me off.

Ugh my windows are filthy. I hate doing windows! I just requested an estimate for cleaning...inside and out...$448.00
I guess I better get the ladder out and do it before it gets too cold.

Definitely try a fathead dough. I was pleasantly surprised! The first time I made it I was like “there’s no way this is gonna work” but it’s actually really good and super filling.

I LOVE Amazon. I just bought 24 feet of handrails for two staircases. Home Depot et al didn’t have what I wanted. I didn’t need custom. Amazon to the rescue!! I also had been coveting a beautiful coffee table book about Lord Snowdon. It was in my cart and the price fluctuated between $85-$115. One day I happened to see that the price dropped to $15!!! So I pounced and now I have the most gorgeous book sitting on the ottoman in my living room.

I’ve just started to listen to books while I walk my dog. I love It! I listen to podcasts as well, but I’ve kind of overdosed on the true crime genre so I wanted something different. My daughter isn’t much of a reader but she enjoys audio books as well so I try to find books we will both like.

Yes, I think it’s the Lycra or whatever provides the stretchiness breaking down. Do you put your jeans in the dryer? Heat and stretchy fabrics don’t generally mix.

I’m getting so sick of instagram...it’s full of “influencers” whining about people being rude to them in comments and DMs. If you mandate that I must greet you and compliment you in my comment before I can ask you a question, I’m thinking I’m definitely not gonna bother. Just saw this post the other day. You have GOT to be kidding me. I don't even follow the person who originally posted about it and I guaranteed won't now.
I'm also over the Grove thing. And people posting their CrossFit workouts. WHO CARES? who cares what your WOD was? Why do you think people want to watch you work out unless you are actively teaching how to do a particular exercise? How ridiculous and self-absorbed. NOBODY CARES.
Also cats. I don't care about your cat.
Seriously! If someone prefacing a question with “just curious...” is too “triggering” for you, perhaps you are just a little bit too thin skinned to be an “influencer” on Instagram 🙄 These people put themselves and their content out there, and then expect to be able to dictate how the whole wide world interacts with them? STFU

They both sound amazing. I think I’d choose the farmhouse, especially if someone else is looking after the property!

Ok we have a laundry chute, which I love, but as others have mentioned it should automatically be paired with a dumbwaiter!! I hate hauling clean laundry up two flights of stairs.
I feel like we aren’t missing much but I’d love a butlers pantry. A handy spot to store candles, vases, fine china, extra wine glasses, napkins and napkin rings and all that stuff! I can’t add one anywhere in my open floor plan so I guess I’ll suffer without 😂

I think dogs that eat a raw diet probably enjoy them.
They completely gross me out. I’ll never forget seeing a huge pile of them at the Asian grocer 🤢

My husband has received SIX speeding tickets (photo radar) this summer. So that’s an average of one every two weeks, to the tune of about $800. I know the minute I bitch about it karma will bite me in the ass and one will arrive in the mail for me, so I’m just keeping quiet but he’s well aware that I’m pissed!!

I've been listening to it this past week. Interesting podcast. A true crime podcast I would highly recommend is 22 HOURS, AN AMERICAN NIGHTMARE. I agree! I just finished 22 Hours and it was so good. I love listening to podcasts while I walk my dog, so I’m always looking for recommendations. Some good ones suggested here!

I can’t wait to enjoy our new outdoor fireplace with a book, a hot drink, a blanket in my lap and some falling leaves! Nothing better than the smell of woodsmoke on a crisp afternoon.

I finished The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger. I thought it was okay; it was interesting enough for me to finish but I definitely wouldn't put it on a must read list. 3.5 stars I just finished this book as well. I thought it was good, but not amazing. It reminded me a lot of some of the parents of kids at my daughter’s (private) school. Yikes!!

THANK YOU for your encouragement to see a doc and for sharing your stories everyone! And I'm sorry for all of you and your loved ones who have dealt with injuries. For those of you who have had foot injuries, did you go to your family doc first or straight to a podiatrist?MichyM - I haven't seen a doc to this point because there was great improvement after the first week, when the bruising and swelling went away. I thought it just needed a little more time. I had some commitments and was preparing to leave to go visit my mom and other fam in Canada for 4 weeks. Mum got very sick with shingles one week into my trip and she really needed me there home with her for much of the time, so i wasn't out and about a whole lot. Just got home a few days ago and will make an appointment. My foot doesn't swell much and the pain isn't horrible, but we should probably try some PT or something at this point. It's def. not "normal" though and I can't walk for exercise. (I can still EAT plenty, though!) crazy4scraps - that must have been awful! Do you consider it completely healed now? I hope so! dewryce - okay, you go get your toe checked out and I'll do the same with my ankle. belgravia - that sounds like quite the ordeal! Do you happen to know the brand of brace you purchased? jenjie - I hadn't even considered the possibility of needing a cast. Are you fully healed? Hope so! @giantsfan - I hope your DH heals fully soon. I'm guessing he was in a LOT of pain? Mine has been more of a nuisance. @megmc - yikes! That sucks! Great reason to rest and eat bonbons, eh? And no, I'm not trying to talk myself out of calling the doctor. I'll do it on Monday morning. Thanks again! Sorry, can’t link but I got the ASO ankle stabilizer on amazon. I highly recommend it! Hope your ankle feels better soon!

I’ve had bad sprains that have taken a year to heal, even after extensive physio. It takes a looooong time when ligaments are injured. The best thing I did was buy an ankle brace to wear when I walked the dog or really whenever I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking. It really stabilized my ankle and made it feel a lot more secure, and kept the swelling down too. I bought one my physiotherapist recommended that he said was favoured by athletes. I could wear it with most shoes or boots, and it fastens with laces and wide Velcro straps, so that sucker is not moving! I walked all over nyc wearing it and my ankle felt great.
