I filed a complaint today at gao.gov/fraudnet - it is a clear violation of the law. How do you do that? Just go to the site, click Report Fraud and follow the prompts which let you specify a violation of ethics laws.

I filed a complaint today at gao.gov/fraudnet - Kellyanne's comments are a clear violation of the law and Trump's may be too.
Edited for clarity.

Not too much but I have a very difficult time sleeping and my husband snores. I can't really get mad about it since he can't control it, but it does drive me crazy on occasion.

Ah yes, the Republican Senate continues it's outreach to women and people of color by shutting down a woman in the Senate trying to enter into the record something written by Coretta Scott King (that is absolutely pertinent to the confirmation hearing of Jeff Sessions). Their future opponents campaign ads continue to write themselves.

I've long thought he was functionally illiterate. I have a son with ADHD and I have often wondered if perhaps Trump has ADHD which can make it difficult for some people to learn to read. I also think some of his bluster could be explained by embarrassment over not being literate. He could turn this into a huge positive though. Can you imagine what a huge inspiration he would be if he admitted it and was getting help or it. For learning disabled kids it would be amazing for them to know they could go all the way to being President.

I find myself amazed at the commentary here. The blogger said Melania served as an escort. She did not. She sued to clear her name. It was cleared. I promise you that if anyone had done this to Michelle Obama and she had sued, you would have been on fire in defense of her. GOOD for Melania for not standing for this. I feel sorry for her. Even on this list of liberals who insist they are tolerant she is tarred all the time with her husband's brush. I don't blame her for fighting back. Look at what happens on this very list. Even with the frequent insistence that her past should not be brought up and as a woman she should be empowered to do whatever she likes, almost every thread with her name in it results in the reminder that she posed for "soft porn" photos. Even though it was YEARS ago and even though in Europe this isn't even a blip on the radar. I do not blame her one bit for fighting back since her whole character is blackened all the time for those photos--imagine what would happen to her if people really believed she was a former escort. We are supposed to be SUPPORTING each other as women! Isn't that what the women's march was all about. This is not about having a problem with her suing a company for making inaccurate assertions. I don't support her because I think her attorney's statements reflect how greedy she is.

Like any third world dictator would do. This must be your least presidential President (and first family) ever? It's a civil suit - I don't understand your or terri comments. Â I have supported her more than once on posts in regard to her being a mom and the slut shaming that has gone on. My issue is that her attorneys are clearly saying she could have made money because her husband was running for the presidency/is the president and she wanted to capitalize on that. You don't get a free pass on being greedy because you are a woman. I also have no respect for someone who joined her husband in questioning Obama's country of birth and I will not be getting over that any time soon.

I hope the Democratic senators prove themselves to be better than the Republican senators by giving whoever it is a fair hearing. Particularly, if it is a respected judge they have already confirmed and praised in a previous hearing like in the case of Garland.
Your post does confuse me. In some posts, you seem annoyed by the "hysteria" that you think Peas are demonstrating, but in posts like this you are predicting outrage that hasn't even happened which kind of seems like a way of encouraging it. It makes me a little hesitant to respond to the posts as I don't want to argue with anyone just for the sake of arguing. Forgive me if I am reading your comments incorrectly - this is just the impresssion I am getting.

The AG serves at the will of the President but their obligation is to the Constitution. Her oath is to uphold the laws of the country, not enforce executive orders she believes are unconstitutional.
I have no clue how to link but there is a link on CNN to Yates confirmation hearing where Sessions emphasizes this point to Yates. In my opinion she did her job by trying to protect the Constitution and Sessions should not be confirmed until he responds to the Senate what he would have done in this case.

We will have to agree to disagree on this Lauren. I look at people who aren't alarmed and don't get it. I believe what Trump is doing is unconstitutional and unethical.

I was a huge Jim Kelly fan back in the day so this is nice to hear. However, I agree that helping a celebrity that made $28 million playing football, not even counting endorsements, while threatening to get rid of the healthcare people like me depend on, doesn't mean all that much in the big picture.

I am against the wall because I think it is too expensive, I don't for a minute think that Mexico will pay for it, there are other ways that people can come in. My understanding is that there have been more deportations and fewer people coming in in recent years. I would build on what is working to make that happen. I do not want to see "dreamers" deported. Criminals? Yes. People who have been here for years and are productive members of society? No. I am mostly in the same opinion as you are on this. There are ways to make them pay, yes, it may take time yes. Do I think it is the best use of resources? No. I do think that we should send President Fox a bill for every penny spent on deportation and detainment of any Mexican illegal immigrant. The same goes for every country for which we deport someone back to. Be it the Phillipines, Central America, or any other country. If we pick up an illegal alien from their country, they should foot the bill for sending them back. I do think we start with every single person every found of breaking a law, and sending them home. I do feel we should make legal immigration much easier. Much less expensive, but there must be punishment for breaking the law. Personally I think that a permanent ban on citizenship is one way to accomplish this. Along with that, a permanent ban on government assistance of any kind. Come here the right way, you get all the benefits. Come here the wrong way, you will never get any of them. Vincente Fox hasn't been the president of Mexico for a decade. The President of Mexico is Enrique Peña Nieto.

So, can someone answer a serious question I have? You're against the wall; you're against deporting people who are here illegally. How do you propose to deal with the never ending influx of people here illegally? How do you propose to deal with the financial drain on border states? How do you propose to deal with the crimes, the death, the injury and the losses caused by people who are here illegally (some of them whom have entered the country illegally several times?) I think people are turning to a wall because no solutions to these issues are proposed or enacted. Merely saying "enforce the laws better" means nothing, especially when you have cities refusing to abide by those laws. I haven't read the entire thread yet but wanted to answer your question as best I can. I have no problems with the deportation of criminals. Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any president in history and I supported his actions. (Though I'm way more concerned about the insane amount of violence against women in this country by American men.) I am against the wall because I do not believe it will work and I consider it a complete waste of money. I am also against deporting children who have spent their entire lives here and I have no desire to see families being torn apart. Also, agriculture in this country would be decimated by removing all illegal immigrants, as so many take the jobs Americans don't want. I really doubt too many people want to pay $20 for a bag of oranges, but that is what will happen if we don't have people here that will take the jobs that make the agriculture industry in this country work. I don't know what the solution is; immigration policy is extremely complicated and there are no easy answers. I think doing the wrong thing because we don't know the workable answer is irresponsible and will come back to hurt us all.

I have no idea why people think Roe v. Wade won't be overturned. Way back in the 80s I took a course in legislation and they used Roe v. Wade to illustrate a poorly written decision. Now there is the political will to overturn it including a president who has said that will be a criteria in appointing justices, as well as constant state cases that will ultimately challenge the previous decision. The Supreme Court has the power to use a new case to change a previous decision as they did in the Loving v. Virginia case. Just because the Supreme Court tries not to change their positions doesn't mean they don't sometimes do so. That is what happened with Citizens United so we know members of the current Supreme Court have no problem doing this. (Reversed Austin v. Michigan State Chamber of Commerce.)
Of course legislators can also in essence reverse a previous Supreme Court decision by amending the Constitution but that is a more difficult process.
As to the question in the OP, no I would not adopt a child. I am way too old and have too many medical issues for that kind of responsibility. I don't even know if I could step up to the plate the way Lauren did if my future grandkids needed me (though I would hope I could find a way).
I agree that if you look at legislative priorities and policies it does often feel like like the pro-life movement would more appropriately called the pro-birth movement. I would be so much more understanding of where they were coming from if they prioritized life as much as birth.
For the record, I was faced with this decision when I was told during my second pregnancy my son would likely have issues. We chose not to even have amniocentesis because there was no point as we had already decided to go through with the pregnancy no matter what. I would have been devastated if by law I had to choice but to terminate my pregnancy and it is my view if we allow courts to make decisions one way, we open it up for them to go the other way too. I think it much better for this to remain a decision that a couple makes with their doctor.

My husband and I made them 10 years ago and recently stumbled upon them. It bummed me out a bit that I hadn't done any of them, but my medical issues made it impossible.
Here's my list:
- Visit Japan - Have a dog that has a litter of puppies. - Go to Brimfield antique show. - Go to a Winter Olympics (my husband's company was one of the biggest sponsors of the Beijing Olympics and I'm so bummed I wasn't able to go when we had the opportunity). - Cruise to Alaska. - Design and build our dream house. - Stay in a bunch of castles while visiting Europe. - See the panda bears in Cheng Du.
I've added visit Cuba to my list.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and (no surprise) your paining is amazing!! I wish I had the opportunity to cross something big like this off my bucket list.
(For the record, most Jews did not vote for Trump. Entire branches of my family were wiped out in the Holocaust and when I talk to my mom about this she also makes comparisons to when Hitler came to power.)

Yes we will be making changes. I stopped working a few years ago, and my husband wants to retire by 55. If Trump follows through on his plans we will see a global recession so we will do our best to insulate ourselves against this possibility. We will be meeting with our financial advisor to discuss next month. We have been talking about buying a vacation home overseas for a while, and we are planning on speeding up that process too.
