Wow, I'm so sorry you're going through this. There's a lot of shit going on around your marital bed. You really need to discuss this with your therapist. It's not healthy. He chose to leave the symbolic marital bed, but he won't get out of the literal marital bed. Honestly, I'd get rid of your current bed -- send it to the dump. There's a symbol for him.

Love my Scanpans from Sur la Table. They have regular sales on them (they are definitely an investment.)
I found one at HomeGoods once and snapped it up.

I want to come eat at your alls house. I did a tray for new years last year (just my family) and no one touched it and I had to then clean up the mess. This year I'm buying one premade from Aldi and what we don't eat is going in the trash. (except the olives those are all mine ) I usually make charcuterie mac and cheese out of all the leftover cheese. I shred it all together and see what we get!

Honey is a must on mine. I like prosciutto, a hard cheese, a soft cheese, and a goat cheese. I've really been enjoying the TJ's social crackers. I usually put something chocolate on it -- chocolate covered raisins are good.

Mine liked the silicone mat with grooves that we'd put a dab of peanutbutter on. The kids called it the Licky Mat, but I don't remember its real name. She loved that thing.

I'm the one who makes the stuffing. Toasted Italian bread cubes, fresh sage, sausage, apples, onions, and prunes macerated in Madeira wine. A family favorite from a Gourmet magazine recipe back in the 1980s.

www.hrw.org/report/2020/09/30/kettling-protesters-bronx/systemic-police-brutality-and-its-costs-united-statesOn the evening of June 4, 2020, about 300 people marched peacefully through Mott Haven, a low-income neighborhood in New York City’s South Bronx, to protest police violence and systemic racism. Less than an hour into the march, and about 10 minutes before an 8 p.m. curfew went into effect, the marchers encountered scores of police officers with riot gear, including helmets, shields, and batons. Bicycle police used their bikes to form a wall and prevented the protesters from moving forward, while other officers pushed from behind – a tactic known as “kettling.” The protesters were trapped, with no way to disperse.“We were being packed and packed like sardines,” one protester later recalled. Many started chanting, “Let Us Go!” and one person cried out, “You’re gonna kill us – I can’t breathe.” Just after 8 p.m. and the start of the city-wide curfew – imposed a few days earlier due to looting in other areas– the police moved in on the protesters, unprovoked and without warning, whaling their batons, beating people from car tops, shoving them down to the ground, and firing pepper spray in their faces.“Then it’s kind of all a blur,” one protester said, recounting how a police officer punched him in the face, another twisted his finger and broke it, and a third pulled off his Covid-19 face mask and doused him with pepper spray. “Then they dragged me on the ground and beat me with batons,” he said. “Somewhere in the process of being cuffed, I had a knee on my neck.” As protesters cried out – some with blood dripping down their faces – the police began to arrest them. They forced people to sit on the street with their hands zip-tied behind their backs, at times so tight that their hands went numb. Clearly identified medics and legal observers were among those targeted, as police beat a number of them, detained them and obstructed their work. Ambulances eventually arrived, and a medic who was zip-tied at the time said that he saw at least three people carried away on stretchers: “[They were] handcuffed to the stretchers, with head bandages, visibly bleeding from the bandage.” The protest in Mott Haven was one of hundreds that broke out across New York City and the wider United States following the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25. Floyd’s was the latest in a series of high-profile killings of unarmed Black people by police in the country. Law enforcement officers across the United States responded to many of these largely peaceful protests with violence, excessive force, and abuse. They beat up protesters, conducted mass arrests, and fired teargas, pepper spray, stun grenades, and rubber bullets to disperse and discourage protests. This report is based on interviews or written accounts from 81 people who participated in the Mott Haven protest, interviews with 19 other community members, lawyers, activists, and city officials, and analysis of 155 videos that were recorded during the protest. Human Rights Watch also reviewed legal documents and sent questions to the New York Police Department, the NYPD, which replied in part (see Annexes). The NYPD did not reply to a Human Rights Watch request to interview senior NYPD officials. My daughter’s best friend was arrested in this incident. She was peacefully protesting. She was not out after any curfew. The police tore her mask off, violently cuffed her, and forced her to sit on a curb for three hours. Her shoulder was damaged from it. All she did was peacefully exercise her first amendment rights.

With services that involve me being close to someone without a mask (dentist, facial, hair stylist, etc.) I've asked. Fortunately, everyone happily and excitedly told me they were vaccinated. But I live in Massachusetts where the vax level is very high. One of the stylists at my salon had a kidney transplant and is immunocompromised, so I wear a mask as best I can when she's in the salon.
Service people who have come in my house have all worn masks indoors without me asking. I'm cool with that.
I have no issue asking someone providing me a service where it's important to me that they be vaxxed -- and if they don't want to answer, that's their right. But I won't be using their service.

DH is the meat guy so he’s in charge of the turkey. And the mashed potatoes and gravy because DS and I think they’re barfy—and I like to maximize my carbs. Then I’ll make: my stepmother's cornbread dressing cranberry orange relish Buttermilk biscuits—weird, I know, but I saw someone making them on a cooking show and I want to learn how to make something better than the hockey pucks you get in the northeast—I’ve been researching biscuit-making secrets this weekeither roasted Brussels sprouts or the traditional green bean casserole bourbon chocolate pecan pie there may be some wild card item like roasted sweet potatoes or corn casserole and definitely another dessert—maybe cheesecake? I spent some time during Covid last year making buttermilk biscuits. I had mistakenly bought a big bag of self rising flour and biscuits was one of the things self-rising is good for. My suggestions from practice: Make sure the butter is super cold - I think mine turned out best when I froze it and grated it. Use a very gentle hand with mixing and rolling. And don't twist the cutter - lift it straight up.

I love reading Thanksgiving menus because I love Thanksgiving dinner. After hosting or helping to host Thanksgiving for more than 35 years, we are going out to dinner at a local restaurant. My kitchen is being demolished next Monday. Hopefully it will be brand new in time for Christmas.

I don't care how anyone else in my house does chores. DH cleans up the kitchen after dinner and always misses a few things. I very happily take care of those things without any comment or complaint. Sometimes I fold clothes while he cleans dishes, and sometimes I just go upstairs and put on my jammies and brush my teeth (yes, at 7:00!)
My mom and MIL always hounded people about what they were doing wrong, and I find it much more relaxing to enjoy what gets done.

The 2nd job I got only pays $15 an hour and I MIGHT work 10-12 per week...sometime not at all, but in order to qualify for the loan for the house, I have to pay some of my debt down quickly Is there a possibility of paying down the debt with joint funds now? He can pay his fair share of it before you divorce.

Hugs to you. I'm really glad you told your kids. Keeping that kind of thing hidden was not going to help your mental health. I'm not sure you should be getting another job at the moment. It's going to be a stressor, and may not help your financial situation in dividing up your lives. I'd definitely ask your attorney before doing that. It may be something you need to do later, but I'd work on my mental health right now and not take on too much. You'll need all your strength to push through this.

I've bought a couple Christmas gifts, and made dinner reservations for Thanksgiving. We're starting a kitchen and bath renovation next Monday. It should be complete on 12/17, which is when both my kids and the SOs are arriving for Christmas week.
Hahahahahaha -- we all may be staying in a hotel, although our contractor is fantastic, and all supplies have arrived. At the very least, I'll have help decorating and putting back my kitchen stuff.

I'm devastated - Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian treasure. I do enjoy both of them best in small doses - the movie moved quick enough that it was fine. I know, I'm usually alone in my thoughts about RR but he just grates on my nerves so bad. I want him to just shut up and he won't. Fucking. Shut. Up. Ever!!! I hated Deadpool! I hate him in everything where he's allowed to try comedy. As a serious actor I don't mind him so much. We saw Red Notice last night. It was silly and fun -- The Rock was great. I actually love Ryan Reynolds, but he just wouldn't shut up in this movie. He was so annoying. The first half was way better than the second half.

I heard the 4th shot comes with a check from George Soros. You'll definitely want to avoid that. (People get a flu shot every year, brain trust. I've had one every year since 2008. You know what I've never had? The freaking flu. Not once in all the years I've been teaching. It's a government plot, I tell you!) You're mistaking correlation for causation. I've had the flu shot exactly once in my life. Can you guess when it was? If you said "about shortly after you got your first flu shot" then you'd be right! I've never been that sick before or since. It's been over 20 years. edited>>>> Also, this is the first time mRNA technology has been used. Ever. The flu shot has decades of data behind it so even when they change the formula they aren't recreating the wheel, the data still applies.I have a science background and have been reading about this technology for years. It's not at all new. It's a new application, but not a new technology.

I've recently made spicy crab and corn chowder, lentil soup, Greek avgolemono, and beef and barley soup (trying to recreate the way my grandmother made it.) I'd add recipes, but I mostly was winging it.

Funny, I was just over on that thread as I was finishing up my online order. I got: *Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF30. A favorite of mine. I wear it every day. It smells good and doesn't make my face breakout.
*Tartelette™ Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette. I needed to replace my old NakedPalette and as I get older, I can't stand the look of shimmery eyeshadows on me. This one looks nice - I think I'll use most of the colors. I generally like Tarte cosmetics.
*Blinc Mascara. My tried and true favorite. I needed a new tube because I went ahead and got permanent eyeliner done and didn't want to risk getting an eye infection from the old tube.
*Caudalie Vinoperfect Dark Spot Brightening Set. I love the radiance serum, and you get a full sized bottle, along with nice sized samples of a glycolic essence and a night cream for the same price as the bottle alone.
Plus I picked out some samples and cashed in some points for stocking stuffers for my kids.

I don't think he feared for his life. I think he was thrilled that he could shoot someone. I didn't believe a word he said.
And it doesn't matter what his victims were-- I can hate them too, but being murdered by a 17 year old out looking for victims isn't justice. And Rittenhouse didn't know their history. Their prior offenses are irrelevant.

I'd start with calling my primary care doctor. They always have some prescreened recommendations. Maybe check with your insurance companies. They can probably give you names of counselors they cover.

I'm sure there are excellent doctors all over the world, but I wouldn't want to be so far from home for surgery unless it was an emergency. If you got home and had some complications, who would you follow up with? What kinds of complications are common for that sort of surgery, and how long after the surgery do they show up? I'd be doing a lot of research on that.

murdaughmurderspodcast.com/ Thanks. That one I might could/should have figured out on my own! LOL! I listened to the entire series while I was on a train a few weeks ago. She is so very clear and careful to not speculate with what she says. I was really impressed. I couldn't wait to get back on the train to go home, so I could finish it.

reading the stories that are coming out of this, reminds me of the Hillsborough soccer disaster in which 96 people were killed. really scary stuff! I've been thinking of that too but didn't know how well known that was outside of the UK. Equally horrifying. Me too. I always thought that was due to drunken, fighting fans. But wasn't it just a few years ago that the massive police failures and coverups came out? Such a terrible shame.

If the pain is strong enough to keep you awake at night, it's time to see the doctor. That's kind of a rule of thumb from my doctor. In my case, I pretty much always have to start with my primary care the way my insurance is set up. They set up the referrals and get appointments to the specialist. So who you call may depend on what your insurance is.

Why don't YOU get the hotel room and let everyone else stay at the house! I hope this was sarcasm otherwise this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Leave my house, pay for a hotel and let “strangers” have full run of my house. INSANE. I thought it was funny and a great idea. First of all, I looove having a hotel room to myself. Second, they aren’t strangers. It’s her husband’s family. I love making thanksgiving dinner, but hate planning breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a mob for five days, which is how it used to work at my house. This year my kitchen and primary bath are under construction so I arranged for hotel rooms and t-giving dinner reservations for us all. I love having my family stay, but then I have a big house with plenty of extra bathrooms and bedrooms.
