Both. My internal clock is really really strong and it takes about a week to readjust.
I don't do well with traveling across time zones either. I'm always exhausted on trips across the country.

I'm a Paprika fan to keep my recipes organized. But I do my planning on a piece of paper.
One of the things I love about it is the ability to pull in an online recipe. Then when I invariably make changes, I can easily edit it to show what I did.

I'm not vegetarian, but I'd rather eat all the sides than the turkey. They're the best part to me. LOL.

I would have double checked that I paid for everything properly and wasn't overcharged. Especially since they both seemed somewhat confused. But I wouldn't expect to get anything free out of it. I mean, I would have been expecting to pay for both steaks and got both steaks. No harm done.

How horrifying. I don't understand why the event didn't have appropriate crowd control. We've seen this happen again and again.

I rarely start a thread, but I respond to a lot. I'll say 3.
Look at that, I've started way more than I thought.

You forgot a option... "Quit changing and just stick with ONE! Don't care which it is." I’m with you! I don’t care which… I just dislike the change.

Sad, but as you say, so unnecessary. editedI'm not sure that's really helpful with several people here saying they have family members on ventilators. The survival rate ranges from 50-70%, so ventilators are saving a lot of people who would not have made it without them.

I’ve been on both sides of the situation. On the giving end, I have moderate face blindness. The fear of not recognizing somebody who expects it - and the embarrassment when I’ve mis-recognized someone who would never expect it - are real. So sometimes it has more to do with the other person than you, if that makes sense. OMG -- me too. I just can't recognize people and it's horribly embarrassing for me. I wish people would always introduce themselves to me, because I'll remember a name if you say it. Put your hair up, and I have absolutely no idea who you are.

I have one cat with two boxes right now. His sibling died this spring, and I don't have the heart to take one away. He poops in one and pees in the other. That's what both of them always did.

Since being vaccinated, we have been living our lives as normally. No unvaccinated people in my family that I have to worry about. I’ve been traveling and going to concerts and shows also.
I’ll do a test before meeting with my elderly aunts and uncles next week since I got back from NYC this week.

My mother and I both grew up in the shadow of my red-pen-wielding grandmother, so it always shocks me when my mom uses the word, "analyzation." As soon as she says it, she knows I'm going to jump on it. It's such an awkward word, and analysis works just fine. BTW, I'm also adamant about the differences between less and fewer. Drives me up a freaking tree when they're misused! My grocery store had it written correctly on two registers (12 items or fewer) and then incorrectly on the self-check lanes (12 items or less.) I almost complained about 20 times, but decided that nobody else would understand or care. My first rule is to stick to one version, right or wrong. Consistency always gets points.

I live in a small town outside Boston 3,000 sf $140 every 2 weeks Mother/daughter team stays for about 2.5 hours They bring all supplies
They've been my cleaners for about 6 years. They started lower than that, and I give them a yearly raise and a holiday bonus. I'm super happy with their work, and they're also incredibly nice. They were recommended by my last mother/daughter/aunt team who moved back to Poland.

I got mine for something- birthday? Christmas? I’ve always loved baking so much. It’s 35 years old and going strong. No gender roles assigned here, just an awesome all appliance. DH was thrilled when I got him the pasta attachment. Cobalt Blue rocks. I think mine was the first year they sold that color.

Our recycling does not accept shredding -- it mucks up their sorting machines. I just throw the bag of shreds into the regular trash. I don't really shred all that much. And I do it as I go along.

Sounds like it could be time for an evaluation of what's working and what's not after having them in for a few months. You might as well be up front about it with them. If you want them to start dealing with the dishes and recycling, then let them know. Honestly, that's probably like 5 minutes for them to take care of, so I doubt you need to pay more. Would it help you to have them pick up the clutter? This is supposed to make your life easier, not harder LOL.
I would just talk to them about it, and if they feel they can get it all done in the time allotted, then yay! Otherwise, you can decide if you want them to stay a little longer to take care of more things.

It's just the two of us now, with one cat. Far cry from having the kids and the dog and other cat in years gone by. I don't mind picking up clutter, washing the dishes, getting the beds stripped and clean sheets out. I really hate the scrubbing part of housekeeping, so I like to make sure they have easy access to all surfaces.
But I figure that you're paying for the service, so you get to choose what you want them to do and how you leave things.
I use the time when they're upstairs cleaning to clean off my desk and office space. I always have papers strewn everywhere (it's how I work!) When they come downstairs, they polish it all up while I head out to run a couple errands.

Why are you posting under an anonymous name? I don't see anyone on that other than entertainers and sports fans. I don't have a problem with that. I didn't have a problem with rando people shouting Let's Go Brandon. But a pilot on duty? That's a whole other thing. Southwest gets to decide whether to discipline him, and I get to decide if I fly Southwest.

I think the rules are changing too quickly for me to travel internationally. I'll wait a bit until things settle out. I'm just worried about getting stuck somewhere.
I've been traveling all over the US since getting vaccinated.

Yes, you need to go to an Rolex authorized dealer. There's a Long's Rolex Boutique and a Tourneau in Boston and those are the only ADs in the area. Since it's not been serviced for so long, it's very likely it will be sent to Rolex for servicing, not performed by the AD, and those waits can be VERY long. Six months or longer is not unusual. I'm assuming the engraving is on the back... talk to the AD and specify you want it retained. Be very very clear and ensure they put it on their instructions to Rolex. That should not be a problem, just be sure it's documented. I've been a customer of Long's jewelers in Peabody for more than 30 years, they are a reputable company.

Midwesterner here, and in my town this little gem would list for about 125,000. Maybe a bit more because it’s pretty updated for the size, but no more than 150. I have to ask, what degree/career/salary does a “20-something working on tech” have that makes this house affordable? I’m so out of the loop with regard to salaries. Computer science. Definitely not one starting out, but you would live very comfortably in that profession. These aren’t just coding jobs, but to have a tech background in sales there is money to made. My dh (not a computer science major) but in the tech industry would urge women to pursue that as a degree. They are highly sought after and in some organizations, jobs are held open waiting for women to fill them. My niece just graduated this spring as a computer scientist. She doesn't live in California, but starting salaries for her offers were upward of $150k.

It doesn't even have nice finishes inside. The kitchen and bathroom are a big fat yawn. It's staged well, but take out that furniture and you have a contractor grade tiny house.

Outdoor dining -- I hope it sticks around, because I love it. Extra time with my family working from home (I've always been WFH and it can get lonely.) Puzzles!!! We did so many of them... I had no idea I loved doing puzzles. It's about time to get started again now that the weather is getting cooler.

I just got back from my trip and wanted to update. THANK YOU for your recommendations (even though I'm not the OP!) I highly recommend Hadestown -- it was soooooooooooooo good. Great theater, fabulous music, compelling story. And the swinging lamps! Holy crap it was great. I also highly recommend Six -- the music was so sassy, the singers were AMAZING, it was short but great in an intimate theater. The audience was so into every bit and singing along and clapping. We had so much fun. Amarone was fantastic, we had a very yummy meal. I had the scallops and shrimp on homemade fettuccini and it was really good. We had drinks at Joe Allen -- I really want to go back there, such a lovely place. We had a fantastic Lebanese meal at ilili. The food was superb. We ordered a ton of little plates. My son's partner is from Jordan and said it was very authentic and the best he's ever had in the US. We hit the West Village one evening to go to the Stonewall Inn and raise a glass to LGBTQ equality. Then we went across the street to Marie's Crisis, a piano bar with a Broadway singalong. I can't remember ever having as much fun in a bar.

Relying on untrained/semi-trained actors for understanding the intricacies of all the different guns and setups for guns on set would be even more of a disaster than what happened in Rust. There are safety protocols set up by professionals who are responsible for all the guns and those protocols should be followed by everyone on set. The actor is simply a hand on a movie set when there are guns involved, and the gun is the responsibility of the armorer. Baldwin was not responsible for the gun, the armorer was. And that's the safest way to handle it on a set with dozens of guns, dozens of actors, and different shots going on all the time. That's why they set it up that way. Obviously the protocols weren't followed, and that is why this accident occurred. This is a perfect example of passing the buck. When it comes to weapons, if you don't know how to handle it yourself you do.not.handle.it. It is that simple. Anyone who touches that gun is responsible for it. Thinking it is another person's responsibility because "I'm an actor/actress" is wrong. Just because you are in front of the screen does not mean your actions and lack of knowledge have no responsibility to the people around you. That's like telling an unlicensed driver who has never passed a driving exam "It's OK you killed four people by driving your car upon a curb where they were standing. The Department of Public Safety and the should have taught you how to drive proficiently for everyone else's safety." Another thing Alec should have noticed if he had checked and been trained properly - prop guns cannot hold real/live ammunition. They would have taught in basic gun training - "this is live ammunition, this is blank ammunition" - and had Alec checked the gun, he would have been able to ascertain that (1) the ammunition in the gun was live due to the difference in shape of the bullet/blank, and (2) the weapon was a real gun because prop guns cannot hold live ammunition. So yes, actors/actress are part of the chain of safety when they choose to take a role that handles firearms and now we see what happens when everyone fails to do their due diligence. I agree there were drops in how the safety protocols were handled, and Alec Baldwin was part of the chain of failures. I guess we'll have to agree to completely disagree. There is a clear line of responsibility and safety on a movie set, and as an actor, Baldwin wasn't in it. This is all on the armorer. Unless Baldwin was adding real bullets to this gun, he isn't responsible.

If you are going to handle a weapon you treat it as if it were a real weapon. Period. They will tell you this in gun safety classes over and over and over. This was a preventable accident. Alec Baldwin had the responsibility to check that weapon, along with the producer and the armorer. Mr. Baldwin's role or location do not really matter. What does matter at the most basic level is Alec Baldwin was handling a weapon that has the potential to kill a person. Because due diligence was not performed, one person was killed and another injured. If you are an actor and your role means you will handling weapons, you attend gun safety classes until you can demonstrate you know how to safely check and handle the weapons you will be working with. Passing the responsibility of weapon safety off to someone else other than the person holding the gun is irresponsible. Relying on untrained/semi-trained actors for understanding the intricacies of all the different guns and setups for guns on set would be even more of a disaster than what happened in Rust. There are safety protocols set up by professionals who are responsible for all the guns and those protocols should be followed by everyone on set.
