I thought she did a great job. And, I agree with what some others have said, she seems really down to earth. Seemed a little emotional too, at the end.

I use Oxiclean powder. I would sprinkle some on the grout, spray with water and wait about 15 minutes. Then I'd scrub with a brush and wipe clean. It was hard work, but it cleaned it very well. I had light colored grout in our old house. In the new house, I chose darker grout and I got it sealed.

I've only been to a few (many years ago) and I've always taken a small gift, stationery, a wedding planner, gc for dinner. I don't think brides use paper so much anymore, so I'd probably give a bottle of wine (or a gc).

I've never had that problem with my kids. They are teenagers now and wear their coats to school (North Face Denalis, so not big parkas, lol), but I don't recall it being a problem when they were younger either.

I seem to get them only when I access this site from my phone and when I am not on wi-fi. I got a couple earlier today. Same for me, it only happens on my IPhone, but not my IPad. It was happening a lot last week, but no problems the last few days.

I didn't let my kids until they were 12. I think more important than weight was if they could put their feet flat on the floor and if the seatbelt was properly positioned. Two of my kids with their extra long legs probably would have been okay before 12, but I just decided that was the cut off since it's what's usually recommended ( at least in the US)

Thanks for the heads up! I've been searching for scarlet and turquoise square dinner plates and they are always out of stock, but Macy's has them! I just bought 6 of each, plus a turquoise utensil crock. What a great deal, thanks again

Even if there are no assigned spaces, the residents may still have a verbal agreement about leaving spaces open for residents, I once lived in a 4 plex and there were 4 spots. Guests usually parked behind the resident or on the street. It would piss me off when a guest would park in "my" space. So, I would think if he was a resident, he may have been trying to hold his space open.

My 12 year old started reading Harry Potter when he was 9. He's re-read them many times since then and still watches the movies. We went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal this past Fall and there were lots of little wizards there. So, yes, I'd say it's popular with the younger kids.

I went out for Chinese for lunch and I'm not hungry at all. I might have a small salad later. I'm making turkey spaghetti for the kids. I also have Parmesan French bread in the bread maker. I'm a little obsessed with this new gadget. All the recipes sound so good, I'm making my way through the recipe booklet

They were talking on the radio yesterday about a place in Georgia called Martinez and it is pronounced as "Mar-tin-ez", as in the name Martin. I am in So. Cal., so if I see that name I pronounce it "Mar-TI-nez" (emphasis on the the TI). I used to live near there and my kids went to school in Martinez. I had the hardest time getting used to saying it the "correct" way. My DD was friends with a girl whose last name was also Martinez, pronounced the other way. After Georgia, we moved to a small town in Indiana with strong German roots. I was always misprouncing names, some stayed with the Germanic prounciations, others were Americanized. Some families even had the same name, but pronounced it differently. One name that really had me scratching my head was Thewes, pronounced Tavis. We were close to Louisville, KY, too. The correct pronunciation is Lou-uh-ville, with the Lou-uh kind of running together, it's not Louie-Ville.

We are just having our neighbors over, so I'm not making a ton of food, just a few appetizers. I'll be making oven ham and cheese (aka funeral sandwiches), bbq wings, crab dip, baked Brie and a few frozen apps for the kids. My neighbor is bringing soup kind of soup and chips/dip. And, beer, lots and lots of beer! The kids are off school and DH doesn't have to work the next day. I don't really follow either team, but I love Peyton Manning, so GO BRONCOS!

I tried them for the first time about a year ago and I really like them roasted. My favorite is to roast them with sweet potatoes, seasoned with allspice and garlic powder.

I still scrapbook and have a scrapbook room. I probably scrap more now than I did when scraobooking was at the height of its popularity.

I loved it! Greased Lightening was awesome. I loved when Didi Conn showed up. It took me a while to realize Eve Plumb was the mechanic. I thought the cast and crew did a great job.

One of my best friends is a clown, she has a thriving business. She does so much more than just show up in a clown costume. She hates that people's impression of clowns comes from It and Pennywise. I've always like clowns, I don't get the scary or creepy vibe that so many do.

I have ham and beans in the crockpot, it smells so good! I'm pretty sure 2 of the kids won't like it, though. Also making skillet cornbread. DD made brownies for dessert. DD and I are going to eat in front of the tv to watch Grease, can't wait!

No below the neck shaving for DH. He even shaves his head on occassion. And, get this, he trims his eyelashes. They are so long, they start to bother him. I would love to have his long lashes.

One time I wore pajamas to my kids drop off and as I was driving, a deer ran out in front of me. I narrowly avoided an accident. I took that as a sign. I now always pull on jeans/yoga pants, sometimes I still go braless though. Tempting fate, lol.
