I was a senior in college and it was Career Day. I came home for lunch and all my roommates were huddled around the tv. We watched the rest of the afternoon. I'll never forget the look on Christa's parents faces as the realization dawned on them what had happened. The news showed that clip over & over. So very sad.

We bought mine at a local jewelry store, my grandma and mom both got their rings there, too. I really liked being able to select the diamond and the setting separately. I would be very hesitant to buy online since you can't really examine the diamond.

We all got them in my family. My kids and DH always get them, but this was the first time I have. I'm over 50 and my doctor highly recommended it. I don't remember my arm hurting or any other side effects.

I'm making chicken noodle soup and Parmesan basil biscuits. I'll also have a salad. Tuesday's are always so busy for me, starting at 3:00, I'm running the kids all over until 8:30. So I'm prepping everything now and then will cook in between "taxi" runs

My kids (16, 14 and 12) have had instruction in keyboarding as part of the curriculum since early elementary. The older 2 had an actual keyboarding class in 6th grade. Up through middle school, they had very few assignments that had to be typed, it was an option if they wanted to, though. The high schoolers now do almost all their assignments online, i.e. type it in and submit electronically.

We're having Baked Gnocchi, applesauce and a green salad. ETA-I agree with everything Anxiousmom said. This thread is totally non judgmental. I do try to make a lot of homemade and serve a vegetable at every meal, but I'm not above serving a frozen lasagna and often, I'm the only one eating the vegetable. The gnocchi I'm making above? It's loaded with zucchini and tomatoes, which 2 of my kids will just pick out. So, please everyone, post away! I love hearing what everyone's having and reading what's going on in your lives

I have all 4 of mine (Class of 81), plus I have my jr high ones. I really can't imagine getting rid of them. I rarely look at them, I don't even go to my reunions. Not sure why I'm so sentimental about them, but I know I won't get rid of them. My mom still has hers (Class of 55) , lol.

I was 13, almost 14. DD started right around her 12th birthday. I was taller/heavier than her at that age.

I use an app called Printicular. You can either have the pics mailed to you or you can pick them up at Walgreens.

Another vote for the Shark lift away. I bought mine after my much-hated Dyson finally died. I like it so much better.

What are you all using as the liquid - water or a milk product?? I always use milk. I started craving oatmeal as I was reading this thread, so many great combo ideas! So I just made some, I mixed in natural peanut butter and sliced banana-yum!

I use Quaker old fashioned oats, so much better than the flavor packs. It takes about 7 minutes to prepare. For add ins, I use cinnamon, pure maple syrup, apples, dried cranberries and chopped nuts. You can really use any type of fruit, but cranberries and apples are what my kids like best. Quaker does make steel cut oats, but I haven't tried them, I've heard they are more chewy. I was kind of like you, I'm 53 and thought I hated oatmeal. I never even made if for the kids. But that was the instant stuff. We all are big fans now

I have what amounts to about $10 in change, but it's out of sight. I rarely even think about it, but on the rare occasion I get loose change back from a drive thru, I put it there.

I think the name is perfect My son will be so happy tonight, I'm making sloppy joes. I've pretty much given up red meat and mostly cook with chicken, turkey and pork. He's been giving me the "chicken again" lament a lot, so I decided a little beef won't hurt us. We're also having baked beans, broccoli slaw and sweet potato fries.
