I would pay for someone to come to my house and spring clean it.

I have an egg cooker that boil does six eggs at a time and it comes with a little cup for the water to be measured in with a pointy thing on bottom you poke a hole in each egg before cooking. They are always easy to peel, even fresh egs.

The favorite one I relieved was the Cat Lady box. Every month I was the recipient of a box of items for the home that were cat related. Some items were kitchen things, others were desk things and so forth. Also included in many of the boxes were t-shirts and hoodies with cat logos on them. I loved it as did my cat who was included in the gifts with a toy or two each time.
If I ever were to gift a subscription that would be my go to for a cat lady.

I would need to check the ingredients on the bag in the freezer LOL To me it is more important to figure out what sauce or dish which they are going to be served.

We got it for both of us 20 years ago. The amount they pay out goes up every year but still costs us the same. It also has as part of the plan that you can get help in your home when you are no longer able to take care of yourself. Now we are in our 70's it helps to know it is there and relieves a bunch of worries.

I give my daughter AAA membership and renew it every year This is something she was not able to pay for herself as other items took priority, yet gives all of us peace of mind.

Why are you worried about your mother when she is not following simple guidelines and is taking advantage of two days off work for quarantine to run around and flaunt the rules? She does not want to follow rules so does not need to be around your family. If she wanted to attend a Thanksgiving gathering, she should be doing what she could to be safe.

what you are talking about has the threads dyed before the fabric is woven. There are several types of fabric that does this.

In the Texas county I live in we have on average 3 deaths a day - repeat - 3 people are dying every day on average. Some days it is more, some days it is less, but it averages out to 3 a day. In the whole state of Texas it is 224 a day. Yet people wearing masks are not something you can take for granted.
ETA: In Harris County it is 26 people a day that are dying on average. My county pop. is approx 363,000 Harris county is approx. 4.713 million
I am not mathematically inclined, so not going to figure out the rate per thousand, but just looking at the numbers, my county is NOT being careful.

My SIL lost her husband to covid, she is recovering from it as well as her other brother. She called me last week and told me she was told that people who are not vaccinated only get covid once - and that she now is over it all and doesn't have to worry. In other words she believes if a person is vaccinated they will continue to get covid again and again. Another BIL had been vaccinated and had covid several times according to her. I wonder if he was tested or if the family just assumed it was covid? It turns out it was the NP that treated her for having pneumonia (due to covid) is her source of info.
That just does not make sense, but it gives them all an excuse not to get vaccinated. I kinda believe the NP told her just the opposite and she only heard part of the story. People hear what they want to hear and block out the rest.

I had allergy shots for about three years in my 40's. They worked! It was administered in two doses - one in each arm. After going in to the office for a year for them, I learned how to give them to myself and did it that way for the last few years. When they had to double the cost of the serum, I had to stop. But they worked. I was allergic to grass and cedar along with other things I cannot remember now. Grass used to leave marks on my skin if I sat on grass and cedar would cause me to have trouble breathing. Now, I don't have any issues with them.

The problem is I only have one set of make up and toiletries. So I have to unpack those right away. Dirty clothes are never in the suitcase, but in a laundry bag that goes with us. So they are all ready to go into the washing machine when we get home.
I tend to be a "get things done as soon as possible" person. When we moved into this house ten years ago the movers charged us a deposit on the boxes. We had 200 boxes to return and I got them all unpacked and items put away within eight days. When we returned the boxes, they were really, really surprised at how fast I got them emptied. If I put things off they never get done. I still have a box from 40 years ago that never go unpacked. It holds special, memory things of mine and I just never got around to it.

OMG I had this surgery about 15 years ago and it made such a huge difference! After healing, the ability to breathe was unbelievable. I was in my 60's and did not know how a normal nose should work. When I had this surgery, the doctor used packing to stop the bleeding. But when I had other sinus surgery a few years later, something else was used, a type of spray in foam that was pulled out a little at a time. I also was required to use a neti pot twice a day for about two or three weeks. It made a difference in the drainage and snot. So guess I can't help in that regards.
But tell him he will love how much better he can breathe and how it cuts down on the sinus infections and sinus issues once he heals.

For me it has been family and in-laws that have been the problem. Husband's family are just not interested in getting vaccinated and a week ago we learned that his BIL lost his fight with Covid. Two other members of his family have Covid right now. My own sister and brothers just don't take it serious either and my sister had Covid between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. Her response? She was happy she got to see her grandchildren before she got it. AND she told me she was not going to be vaccinated. I have not spoke to her since we talked on the phone last Spring.
We have not gone No Contact, just have not really been interested in talking to them (both my family and his family)so as to not alienate them. So one could say we lost them as friends for the time being. They know how we feel and they know we don't approve of their attitudes so what else is there to say?
Friends? I have just been keeping in our bubble and not starting any arguments with friends. There is no changing anyone's mind so what is the use? One of these days we will come out the other end where Covid is a way of life and we will see then how it goes.

I asked my daughters how they wanted me to handle it. That way I did not imply that the relationship was something more than what it was and cause embarrassment. Then once I knew whether to get a serious gift or just a token gift, I would figure out what to get and not worry about spending equally. Sometimes it is just too hard to figure out what to get without having to make sure each cost the same. As the girls got older it became hard and harder to gift as they were working and able to get what they wanted when they wanted.

I don't think Beto can win in Texas and I hate to see him try and become branded as a wanna be. In the "Eyes of Texas" there are too many strikes against him. Losing against Cruz was a big blow to his career IMHO

Hubbie has been seeing a doctor from the palliative care unit for almost two years. It does not mean he is about toe die, but that he has a terminal diagnosis. She is the one who prescribes his pain medications. We have a number to call for refills for the pain medications and don't have to go in every month for refills.
If he has pain in a particular place in his back that a spot that cancer has settled in, he can get radiation to ease the pain. The radiation reduces the size of the spot of cancer, and thus eases the pain. They did that for my husband and it was amazing how well it worked. It took just ten doses of radiation and it was about a year and a half ago and the pain in that location has not come back. The thing to remember is that while the doctors may not be able to cure him, they can keep him pain free in numerous ways. If you do not communicate with him as soon as possible, it will take more time to get the treatment he needs.
Call your hospital's after hours nurse, and see what she has to say. He should not have to wait til Tuesday for relief

How can one know if the fetus is six weeks old or older? You have to know exactly when the baby was conceived to know the age of a fetus. How can the mother even know for sure, especially when she is in a solid relationship with multiple times a week intimacies. For a stranger to know would really be impossible. Unless the stranger had detailed knowledge no stranger should have.

.... 3 ended up positive, only 1 of those 3 were vaxxed.... Like I mentioned above, you can infect others before the first symptom appears. It can take two or more days before the first symptom appears. At least one of the girls was sick before she even came to the weekend but did not know it. As it stands, the vaccination does not perform miracles, and we still need to be careful. But, better to be vaccinated than not.

What if one of the vaccinated ladies had a break-through case and did not know it until too late? A person is contagious 2-3 days before symptoms appear. Vaccinated people can get it, just not as bad they say. Every doctor I have talked to say it is still possible to get covid if you are vaccinated, but it is just not as lethal. For me, this new variation just resets the clock and my husband and I have to go back to quarantine. Otherwise, all the measures we have taken so far will be in vain.
That is my concern about attending meetings and being around other people. If husband gets covid, he will probably not survive due to his ongoing cancer treatments. He has a better chance of survival; now it is probably not survive, instead of definitely not survive. But, why risk it.

The rally had to be funded by his fundraising organization. How else was it held? Those things cost lots and lots of $$$. It is what happened afterwards that is so terrible. The rally was a jumping off point for the storming of Congress. And I can hear the whining now that he had no clue they would go and do that.

When I was working in a cubicle the one thing that really made a difference to me was having some plants in my space. I was only working in a cubicle for about two or three years but it was what made a big difference to me. I had a filling cabinet that was very useful for holding plants on top and in the bottom drawer supplies for my plants as well as my briefcase.
