This thread is insane. The amount of vitriol most of you have for people you’ve never met, that have absolutely zero to do with your actual life, is astonishing. Talk about living rent free in peoples heads. You guys must have some serious high blood pressure 🤣 Thanks for letting us know what we are allowed to talk about Karen. From someone who has never started a single thread on this board - it's pretty rich for you to be lecturing people on whatever topic we DO start and ARE engaged in talking about - you make ZERO effort to start conversations but you're all about the name calling and handslapping to stop them. You must be such fun in real life It seemingly never gets old for people who have very little to add to any topic to come in on a thread they are not interested in and tell everyone else that they have no right to talk about it. Then start calling everyone insane, crazy, unchristian, outraged, vindictive, hateful etc. Here's another word for you - hypocrite. Let’s not pretend we’re all above gossip on this board. well we used to be able to have a good/fun gossip about celebrities but now all the woke Karen pearl clutchers and their Nana friends do their best to shut down every topic that doesn't meet their approval...then go crying on other threads about how everyone has been chased off and how the board will die. Yeah - take a wild guess why? I'd rather have a spirited discussion about some celebrity I'll never meet than read 4 pages of "I had cornflakes for breakfast"...the difference is I don't go into the breakfast thread and call everyone boring. Yeah you can for sure go fuck yourself.

Talk about living rent free in peoples heads. You guys must have some serious high blood pressure 🤣 i don't hate them... and I don't really think any peas do either. They are just discussing/sharing their take on the situation. I am fascinated by the British (and other) royal families, and how they are navigating modern times in a very traditional, typically non-changing instituion. They either have the worst advisors on the planet, or they are their own advisor and for every move they make, they fumble or stumble. It's just not smooth. I used to think they could NOT do this on purpose, but now I think they know exactly what they are doing. Maybe they don't care, maybe they are needling the royal palace, who knows. But it shocks me to see such a star-power couple really lose their luster. If I had to pick a work, I would say H&M actually amuse or baffle me. (ok that is 2 words). I now also categorize them with Queen Marguerite's 2nd son, whose children's titles were You have to admit, the tone of this thread goes well beyond bafflement or amusement. I’m kind of baffled and amused by them myself. I mean, I don’t have strong feelings about them either way. I find them…interesting. I’m not raging about their kids having titles or not, Bishop vs. Archbishop, baptism vs. christening, OMG someone should call CPS on Harry because he’s a junkie unfit father, Meghan photoshops her kids hair in pictures (more ginger? less ginger? Who knows?). IMO, it goes beyond gossip and it’s weird and excessive to behave like that about people who, as I said, you’ve never met and have zero impact on your life. 🤷🏼♀️

Well if we’re going to dredge up topics outside of the christening/baptism/titles, I’m far more concerned about a drug user raising small children then an alleged affair in a marriage that seems to be co parenting well and presenting a united front regardless. OMG you cannot be serious.

One bathroom would definitely not work for us. Dealbreaker.
ETA Think about how messy the bathroom will get with everyone using it. Then think about what happens when you have friends over for happy hour, dinner, whatever and you have to make sure that messy bathroom is “company ready.” No thanks! We run into this issue in our California home which has 2 bathrooms. I can’t imagine only having one.

I'm sorry that this happened to you! There is no excuse for bad service! I will say as a long time dog owner with carpet for many years ... no matter what you do, the smell will never be gone. When we sold our house in November the only solution was to rip out the carpet ... sorry! I agree, I think I’d be replacing the carpet. I remember viewing a house while house hunting that smelled of dog so strongly that we could smell it before we went inside!

Yikes. That is a LOT of very bossy marble. This house would be so much better without all that miserable grey!

Turkeys? 🦃 I need more info 🤣 We live on the side of a mountain on the edge of town. When we pulled in to look at the house after seeing it listed, there were about a dozen turkeys just strolling about eating off the tree. They are so cute. When we met the inspector prior to closing at the house, there were a small herd of deer on the front lawn. He took pictures and put in his inspection that we had a "lawn mowers" on the property. I have decided that my life goal is to become Snow White and have all the small creatures as friends. That sounds pretty cool! You can come to my house and get coyotes, deer, rabbits and porcupines to add to your menagerie 😀

I feel like my list of must haves has grown exponentially lately. The thing I notice first is the kitchen. Having just remodeled ours, I want one that works for me. I also like a nice open(ish) floor plan on main level and I find that the lot must have trees and turkeys. Turkeys? 🦃 I need more info 🤣

More to do with location than the actual house…I would immediately nope out of a house with a bus stop out front or a community mailbox. I also don’t want to be anywhere near a school. I’m turning into the “get off my lawn” lady.
I would also avoid busy streets. Currently we are in an area with local residential traffic only, and it’s wonderful. I would not live on a bus route.
Mature trees are a must have. I know lots of people avoid corner lots but I’m fine with them. Our current house and our last house are on corner lots.

I never in a million years thought I’d be interested in F1 but my daughter, an engineering student, is involved in her F1 club at university. They are building two cars this year (internal combustion engine and electric) and will compete with them this summer in Michigan. She’s the girliest of girls, so seeing her come home from school looking like a mechanic is so weird to me, but watching your child find their passion and pursue it is very cool. She’s 3D modeling parts, using a laser cutter and a water jet, all kinds of crazy stuff. So I watched Drive to Survive on Netflix and it’s actually pretty interesting, even to me! We may make a trip to Montreal next summer to watch the race there.

My daughter attended a private school and these types of classes weren’t offered. There is a class called CALM (career and life management) that is mandatory to graduate where they learn about writing a resume, preparing a budget, stuff like that.

Yawn, another day another shooting. ‘Merica pinklady Your comment is not okay. You know, as a non-American, this is my sentiment every time I hear of another shooting in your country. Same shit, different day 🤷🏼♀️ I’m sorry, but that’s the truth.

Today mine is the rampant, incorrect usage of the word aesthetic on social media. As in…I want my living room to look aesthetic. No. No, you don’t. I see this all the time and it makes me insane.

Our dog likes to dismember her stuffed toys and keep the body parts as trophies, like some kind of serial killer. So when she sleeps in our bed she’s got a big pile of wings, tails, arms and legs she likes to surround herself with. Scout does the exact thing. Heaven forbid I try to throw any of them away. He drags them out of the trash can. The funniest thing he ever did was early on as a puppy. He had a long stuffed duck. I walked into the den one day to see him standing over the water bowl. He had his foot on the duck's head keeping it under water. We all knew he was psychopath puppy at that point! Harpers favourite dismembered body part is a fuchsia pterodactyl wing. When she goes to boarding it must go with her and I always warn them that it’s very important and MUST NOT BE LOST 🤣🤣 The worst part is that she likes to play tug with these body scraps, which is not easy! it sounds like Scout and Harper are about the same level of psychopathy 🤪

Always, always use a top sheet. I loathe taking the duvet cover off to wash it and then struggling to put it back on. It’s such a pain in the ass.

I have a set of sheets, a linen duvet cover without a duvet inside it, and then a duvet inside a duvet cover. The sheets and the linen duvet cover get tucked in all the way around, and the duvet in the duvet cover gets folded in thirds at the foot of the bed. The linen duvet cover is primarily for colour, but we do sleep under it when it’s warm out.

I have driven large SUVs for many years and I still don’t know what to call them. Not a truck, but also definitely not a car. Can’t call it a Range Rover, that sounds pretentious. FWIW, my mechanic calls it a truck.
