My dd is doing Move on When Ready, the dual enrollment program in GA. She will graduate hs and get AA at the same time and transfer to a 4 uear college as a transfer student vice a freshman. Scheduling was a big deciding factor for her. She just couldn't get the classes at the level needed. AP tests are $96 each with no guarantee that you will score high enough for credit or that the college will take it. Her college classes will transfer in GA, there are reciprocal agreements in place. Her AA will be in General Studies, basically all core classes. Best of all, it is FREE, even the books. No brainer for our family.

If you shop at Target, it will save you money. It is an app on your phone, that will give you discounts on things you buy. You can add the discounts before you go shopping or scan things as you go or both. I have personally saved over $250 this year using it. Even better is to conbine it with a Target Debit Red card for an additional 5% off everything you putchase.

Try Lancome's liquid foundation, or the Estee Lauder Double wear. They are formulated for long wear. The Lancome works best for me in the South East Georgia 7th ring of hell summer heat and humidity.
Primers are hit or miss for me for the face. I can't tell if they help or not. For eyeshadow I forget more than I remember. I don't wear eyeshadow every day.
Baking your makeup is great if you have the skin of a 12 year old virgin. If you have fine lines or gasp wrinkles and bake your face people in space will see them. I personally don't like the road map look, so I don't recommend it.
Overall, for me living on the 7th ring of hell known as Georgia, I find the fewer layers of makeup the better. I us It CC cream most days with a little bronzer and blush. I use powder bronzer and blush and let them set the CC cream. A little eyeliner, mascara, and a little something on the lips and done. YMMV

My dd rushed last year and is in the thick of the process this year. She joined a soriety for friendship. For her it made meeting people much easier, she instantly had 60+ women who truly wanted to know her. She has thrived in the Greek life setting. She is AOII. So glad she is enjoying her time as an active! I am a 40 yr. member of AOII and was a little disappointed that DD rushed but opted not to pledge any sorority. She's too much like her GDI father. My younger dd is looking at Universities now and she is looking at schools that have AOII so that she can rush too. I think oldest dd will continue to be active for years to come and hopefully younget will too. This was all new territory for me last year, but it has been very positive.

Before she joined, I always thought that only rich snotty girls joined soroities. I could not have been more wrong. The girls I have met are so not rich nor snotty. They are some of the nicest, intelligent and independent girls I have ever met.
This year she is living in the house as the house RA. Greek house is "owned" by housing at her school. So far she is enjoying it.

Employee C may only be guilty of poor choice in men depending on how your fraternization policy is written. Does it consider 2 managers being together fraternization? Usually fraternization is between subordinate and management, not 2 managers. B and C may both be in the clear. I guess your investigation will make things clearer.

My older dd went the AP direction. She will graduate a semester early. It is what worked for her. She did the English, history, econ, phsycology AP classes and did well on the tests. She is a linguistics major, so these classes helped not hindred her.
Now younget dd is doing dual enrollment or "Move On When Ready" as it is called here. MOWR is a better fit for her because schedulimg has become an issue at her high school and MOWR is totally free and AP tests are expensive with no guarantee. If she does well in her MOWR classes, she has college credit. She is attending classes at our local college right along with other regular college students. So far she is doing excellent. Her plan is to walk with her associates degree at the same time she walks for high school. She would the move on to a 4 year school as a transfer student rather than a freshman.
It is totally free including books. Oir lottery pays for the program. The only expense I have incurred this summer was a $30 parking pass. I will need to pay $30 in the fall too, but that one will be good for 1 year. If she stays on track and manages to get her associates degree, we will have saved about 40k in college expenses. If she gets her bachelor's degree here in GA, all her credits will transfer.

I took my oldest to college, helped her move in, made her bed, gave her a hug and a kiss, held her while she sobbed, then got in the car and drove away. I listened to her the 1st year when she had roommate issues and gave advice, she lost the roommate lottery bad. The next year I did the same, but no sobbing and an awesome roommate of her choice. This summer I helped her pack for her study abroad trip. We only requested that she make contact at least once a week.
Surprisingly enough, she has found her way and is a remarkable young woman who sets and meets goals. You kids might just suprise you when you let them do it on their own. My goal has always been to raise idenpendant, strong, and capable kids. So far I am 2 for 3 one more to go.

In my world the 1st pair are what we would call shower shoes, because when in a public shower area you have to jave something on the feet. Think camping.
The other pair we would just consider wrong. No respectable southern girl would be caught dead in platform flip flops, not to mention those are just butt fugly.
I grew up in MI and we called them thongs too.
If the shoe has a rubber footbed it is a flip flop, any other material it is a sandal.I own an extensive collection of both.
There are also slides, that are similar to flip flops, but your toes are not separated. The most coveted of these at my house are made by Nike or Adidas.

We bought some for our oldest daughter. She thought she wanted Beats because she was a 17 year old and Beats were the latest greatest. She was bummed at 1st, but now she is glad we got the Bose. The Bose were way better.
Also, my son is a Sonar Tech on a Navy Submarine. He spends most days wearing headphones listening to ocean sounds. Guess what brand he wears...Bose.
Get em you won't regret it.

I am loving the Skin Fix range of skin care products. I found them at Ulta after having a bad reaction to Nutragena SPF for face. Very nourishing on my skin.
Also, loving Covergirls new lipstick line Oh Sugar. The colors are perfect for summer. They are kind of a cross between a balm and a lipstick.

I would just let it lie and not acknowledge the gift in any way. These people are trying to manipulate you and your daughter. Sometimes it is okay not to send a thank you note, this is one of this times.

Are Nancy's parents fellow officers in your husband's chain of command? If not I would leave out the protocol officer's opinion. I would jot return the mug, I would not even make my daughter write a thank you card, I would just leave it a lone. These people are obviously trying to worm their way back into your daughter's life.
Now if the parents are fellow officers that can effect your husband's career, then go with what the protocol officer says.

I am of the same toe ring for years crowd. I got it at a festival quite a while ago. It is sterling. I do not even feel it any more.
A helpful suggestion for those who need to remove one they have had forever...soapy water helps it slide right on or off. When I got this one the guy selling them at the festival used windex of all things to give the ring and my foot some slip.

I don't think the diagnosis is based on the fact she is small. I think they based it on the fact that she did not gain at the last appointment and only gained less the 2lbs at the most recent appointment. They see it as not gaining on the curve. Which is true, she had a stop altogether. Be glad they are finally taking it serious

I think part of your problem os continuity of care. You statwd that this dr. had never seen your child before. To me this means the dr looked at your daughters chart and saw a lack of weight gain at the previous appointment and a very small gain this time. Since they were not the same dr as last time they saw the situation differently than the last dr and took ot more seriously. It is possible that had you had this dr at the last appointment your concerns may have been validated.
If it were me, and mine I would find a different practice with a smaller staff, where at least my daughter saw the same provider every time. Having to force food with a medicine dropper is not normal. She has/had some issue going on. Texture issues is my guess, but you need a provider that is familiar with your child. The same provider every appointment.
Good luck and best wishes for a happy healthy little one when all the twsts are in.

I got donuts and coffee in bed from my 16 year old. She was excited that this year she could drive herself to Dunkin Donuts for the donuts.
Then my dh, dd20, and dd16 took me to the beach for the afternoon. They made chicken salad, packed some fruit, chips and drinks; a complete picnic on the beach. We flew the kites and napped in the shade of the umbrella. It was perfect.
Then we came home and dh made spaghetti for dinner.
Dh also got me flowers and a Chromecast for the bedroom. Dd20 and I are going for pedicures later this week. Her treat.
It wad a great day.

We have purchased 2. Both are/were gas powered not electric. They are/were our daughter's car.
The 1st one was totaled when dd was t-boned at a traffic light ladt summer. Another driver turned left right into her. 3 airbages deployed, dd walked away with no permanent damage. The car not so much, but Big Red held up well. The Mustang that hit it eas far more damaged. We were pretty impressed. We bought her another one.
They have a really good safety rating for their class. She gets amazing gas mileage and they are surprisingly roomy on the inside. I wouldn't want to take a long road trip with 4 adults in it, but for her it is perfect. Her and her soriety sister have a lot of fun in it. It is the perfect car for a young girl in an urban setting.
