Funny but I had a student ask me that exact question just the other day. My answer, "I really don't know yet". I wanted to be a reading teacher when I was little but went to college for Business. For the last decade I have worked as a substitute in elementary schools so I guess in a way I am working at my "dream" job.

Maurer's Dairy Bittersweet Ice Cream why this flavor hasn't taken off nationally is a mystery to me, it's a local favorite. It's very finely ground bitter chocolate in vanilla ice cream
Middleswarth Chips BBQ and Regular MIL gives us TUBS of these for Christmas.

Thanks, I think I will have to get some to play with. Anyone seen some patterns that go with Disney themed papers? That's the next album I plan to work on. Where do you tend to buy washi tape and where can I get good prices on it? It seems much more expensive than the ribbon I usually use and I am a thrifty scrapper (most times).

I am in the process of going through all my stash to get reacquainted with what I own, doing some purging and reorganizing. I came across an old jar of UTEE. Does anyone still use this product? I keep a book of samples of techinques along with instructions and I noticed my UTEE samples have all yellowed over the past decade. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a newer product that gives the same effect without turning yellow over time?

I have been out of the scrapping loop for about 4 years so I am trying to catch up on the trends, etc. I am trying to understand what washi tape is and how you use it? I have a large collection of thin ribbon, do you use it in place of ribbon? Please tell me your favorite uses for it.

I love cabbage any way but fried but it doesn't like me much. I found roasting it is easier on my tummy and everyone likes it Will have to try this method next time.

I picked my hook back up after not crocheting for over a decade. I was laid up this summer with an injury and needed something to do to keep me from munching on the couch. I made a sage green lightweight summer afghan of my own design. Then I made two fall afghans, one in a shell pattern for my DD, the other was my first ever zig zag. Next was another shell pattern with stripes for Christmas. I also made DD a chunky circle scarf. All my afghans are extra large because we love blankets we can snuggle up in on a cold night. That comes to 4 large afghans and one scarf in 6 months...guess I was on a role. I also taught my DD how to do some basic stitches and she made several hats and a cute stuffed BB 8 from Star Wars. Looking forward to seeing the finished afghan using all those circles!

UPDATE Janet100 was right, I tested colorless masking fluid on old patterned paper scraps (Paper Pizazz old) and it didn't damage the thin paper in the least. Oh boy the ideas are churning in my head now, can't wait to start playing with this stuff.

Can this be successfully done without ruining the paper? I have never used masking fluid before and wanted to alter a piece of paper using a stencil and masking fluid to allow the patterned paper to show through. Is there another technique I should be using?

After I purge I always make a pile of clothes to first take to a consignment shop (both adult and children). If after 3 months it hasn't sold then I either take it to Goodwill or donate it via curbside pickup to American Family Services. I have given up on having yard sales since we never have a very good turnout for all the work that goes into them. I also did this after my parents passed away, they had many new items with the tags still on them. I come from humble beginnings so I just can't throw nicer garments in a bag and if I can make a bit of money back on them I will do that first.

I have used the AAA Disney Travel Agent and also planned trips myself. The travel agent is nice if you are not one to do all the reading necessary to keep up with the latest changes Disney implements (Magic Bands). They know what has to be planned and reserved when and can take care of all the details for you. I don't mind doing the legwork and have saved lots of money as a result. I have a friend who is a Disney travel agent and she gives me quotes at her best prices and I can take it or leave it. She was great at pulling strings and securing the best prices for my DD graduation trip with friends to WDW but her DD was going too. We couldn't have put together such a package for her prices and she made sure the kids were in a very secure location with friends she had on staff in the hotel keeping an eye on them for us. Now that is what I call exceptional service from an agent!

I recently removed a few from my closet that had the wider band and the ties in the back style. I still wear the ones that are lighter material and a slimmer silhouette to work, usually under a jacket or cardigan. I like that they don't make me look pregnant but still hide my tummy and allow me freedom of movement when I'm working with children.

I have given up ribbon embroidery and counted cross stitch, there are only so many projects you can do before you hit overload. I weeded down my supplies to the basics. I still do a project as a gift on occasion. Same goes for knitting (which I have never been good at) and crochet. I purged my yarn stash and only buy for a specific project and always return leftover skeins promptly. Sewing, I did buy a new machine for household use but I sold my cloth stash.
Next should be my rubber stamp alphabet collection. At the time I rationalized that I would use them for my scrapbooks but I find I use my computer far more.

Another NE PA pea here, I'm near ABE Airport and we indeed have 31" and deeper drifts. We are all dug out thank goodness but not all roads have been plowed yet. DD is in NW Virginia and has 3'. The snow plow just pushed a mound up at the end of her driveway that is taller than she is (she's 5'6")! OK, I've had my fill of snow for this season...bring on SPRING.

Let me clarify, DD is a bit on the spectrum and socializing is extremely difficult for her. It a long time for her to build up the confidence to get her first part time job. She actually started doing ParCor and went to pole dancing classes with a friend for exercise. Then she went to college and although doing well with her roommates she didn't socialize much. Now she moved back home because this is where her first job is, met BF and is learning to work/communicate with others better. Her life was BF and work with occasional outings with friends when they came home to visit (most of whom are gay). She does have a GF who is in the similar situation and I am encouraging her to get together with her more often. It's just hard to meet guys around here for a twenty something who is not outgoing and doesn't party. She is also very stubborn. It will take an act of God to get her to join a group or take a course or anything and this could take several years hence my plea for prayers for her. Thanks to everyone.

I knew this day was coming but it's painful none the less, DD boyfriend broke up with her. What makes it so painful is that she is socially awkward, doesn't make friends easily and doesn't get "out there" to meet people (she met him at work 3 years ago). He had his own battles with ADHD and anxiety so they seemed to understand each others limitations. She was not expecting this even though we tried to hint at it. Luckily she rarely interacted with him at work, but it's a small workforce and everyone knowing her business will be unbearable for her. I know this will set her back badly. The few friends she has have all moved to different states and have boyfriends/fiances now so she doesn't have anyone to hang out with anymore. Hanging with the few younger coworkers isn't an option since they were originally his friends and thus would be very awkward. Of course he wants to stay "friends" which never works when it's a one sided breakup. This is going to take years for her to rebuild her confidence and put herself out there again. Please keep her in your prayers that she heals quickly and can move forward. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest I know I can always count on the peas for a sympathetic ear.

DH gave me a silhouette cameo for Christmas to replace my ancient craftrobo. He wants me to install it on the laptop which I rarely use because I prefer the much larger screen on the computer. It would be nice to be able to take the cameo to my sisters to design/cut things for her. Can the software be installed on both machines or only one as with the Craftrobo?

When my dad passed at home my mom called the neighbor who was a nurse and then 911, the EMT came out and declared him dead so they took his body to the funeral home. This is a small rural community. I am not sure if the coroner came out to the house. Two years later the same happened to my mom and I found her, I called 911 and the nurse again. Turned out mom was just barely alive but she passed in the hospital, so always call 911 first just in case.
Both of my parents had all their funeral plans written down so that made it so much easier for us. One thing we overlooked was writing all the info for the obituary down ahead of time. It's very hard to recall details when stressed. We also wrote down the order of who to contact and who needed copies of the death certificates which came in handy when mom passed. I need to pull out that list for DH parents since they just asked him to be executor.

Christmas eve it's just us so I make something with seafood like lobster and shrimp scampi then off to church. On Christmas day it's cold ham, mac & cheese and finger food (same as for Easter).

DD1 has a Yamaha 61 key but upgraded to the next size because a full 88 key wouldn't fit in her bedroom. She likes it but wishes it had about 2 more keys on the lower end of the keyboard, she rarely uses the higher keys. She has had one in her room for about 10 years (she stole it from me). DD2 now has old one at college. We bought both at a local music store that was having a great deal at the time, even cheaper than Amazon prices.

Love puzzles but my house is too small for a crowd for dinner and put a puzzle out so we usually play cards. Our latest obsession is Cards against Humanity (we have a load of 20-30 yr olds and no little ones). Always a great ice breaker for the new significant other or friend.

Wait, you mean I was suppose to throw that stuff out? I am a clothes collector (hoarder). I have wedding dresses from my grandmothers, clothes from the 20's through the 70's and I even saved a few favorites from my girls. I saved silky shirts/dresses from the disco era with the platform wood sole shoes, my sisters mini skirts and some pieces my mom or I made. My kids have worn a number of pieces. I do wish I still had my double zipper jeans but I wore them out and a scooter skirt jumper my mom made. It was bright pink print with the flaps front and back over the short part. I wore it to death.

Myboysnme explained it well, the loose stuffing is sort of browned not actually fried since it is not as moist as you would put in the oven. It remains loose and crumbly but still somewhat soft if that makes sense. It isn't crunchy. We can do this while the turkey is cooking and then place it in crock pots or even do the day ahead and reheat for the meal. It's a basic recipe of onion, celery, S&P, parsley, bread mixed together a day ahead for flavors to blend then tossed with a beaten egg and a bit of chicken stock then browned in butter. since the veggies are cut very fine they saute when the bread is browned so there is no need to saute ahead of time. We have tried to add other things to the stuffing but the family refused to eat it.
