I can't imagine the fear, heartbreak and frustration. Sending prayers that the wind dies down and fire is controlled.

Just a thought, but you might mention to the husband to have the puppy checked for digestive issues. One of our shepherds had similar sounding stools. She has EPI and has to be on meds the rest of her life. It has to do with the pancreas and could lead to death eventually if not treated.

My grandma just passed 2 weeks ago at 93 yrs old. Chocolate late gravy was the last meal she cooked. She made it for breakfast while my aunt was visiting her. She fell, broke her hip and died 4 weeks later. Today, I made chocolate gravy in the sauce pan she always made it in. Delicious!

I grew up eating chocolate gravy! My family is from southern Missouri and this was a staple in our family for many generations. Sometimes I'll make it with water instead of milk. I always joke that I have a "body by chocolate gravy"!

My dear, dear friend from middle school called me this morning. Her dad, a retired firefighter was at a stoplight. Some drunk came barreling down the road, slammed into friend's dad, shoving his SUV into a box truck. He died on impact. Driver blew 2 times the legal limit..... At 2in the afternoon. I agree, drunk drivers suck.

My sisters house burned down. My mom and I took some of the clothing to wash and deodorize. The soot and residue ended up causing moms washer to quit working due to biuild up. Just something to consider. Hoping the young man has insurance!

Another Kansas girl here! I'm just outside the metro KC area. It's a great place to live, with the exception of our governor and his poor management of expenditures. Send our welcome to your daughter!! And I have to say, I never dreamed there would be so many Kansas girls here!

I still tear up when I think about the 2 I've lost and that was about 4 yrs ago. Let yourself grieve. You deserve to grieve! Cry, scream, punch a pillow, crawl up in a ball, do what you need to do. And it will hurt like hell when you go to your barn and your best friend isn't there, but know that each time is a tad bit easier. If I can help anyway, please reach out!

I saw this posted on a police wives Facebook page. Brought tears to my eyes. Touching tribute to the officer and events. Hubby is a retired fatality crash investigator, and our oldest son is a detective now. He was shot 7 times back in 2006. A momma never gets that call, those words, the sounds, the ride to the hospital, the support, the love and the brotherhood. Turns my stomach to this day.

When will this end? 15 officers killed in the line of duty is 15 too many. I thank God the my DH has retired, but have a foster son, who is now in law enforcement, and I make him text me when he gets home after every shift. If something goes down, he knows that his first phone call he makes needs to be to us (we act as his parents, even though he is an adult). Praying for this officers family, both blood and blue.

I'm right there with you!! This guy has cut funding for mental health services (severely), destroying school funding, supporting a child welfare system that is critically broken, taken the juvenile justice system and created havoc, and jacking with public employees retirement. I also use to be proud to be from Kansas.......... now, not so much. I love the people, but am embarrassed by our leadership.

I say you go where you had originally planned. Inviting another couple without discussing it is rude. But since they are invited, they either go where you planned, or not. Go enjoy your steak!

My son was at his friends house in Copeville. I could see on the radar that the storm was right over them. Wasn't able to get in touch with him but his friend's mom texted me saying they were in a closet and the house was shaking violently. About 10 minutes later my son called to let me know the house was destroyed but all 25 people in it were fine!! I went out to get him and help get the others to safety. All cars were destroyed so they were stranded. The devastation out hwy 78 was terrible. I haven't been able to sleep. My heart sunk to my stomach reading your post! So glad everyone was ok afterwards!

WW here also! I'm down 47lbs since late January, but we recently gained custody of a 17yr old girl, who eats all the time! And she's a twig! I think I've gained back 2lbs si ce she moved in! I need to make time to get back to the grocery store to buy food for meals rather than quick type, junk stuff. I need to get my motivation and dedication to myself, back on track.

It was amazing! People from all backgrounds and walks of life standing side by side! I grew up going to the Royals games. Was lucky to go to all of the home World Series games in'85 because my mother was an exec at Marion Labs (Mr Kauffman owned the Royals and Marion Labs). This series and events were fantastic! Proud of the Boys in Blue and proud to be from KC!

Schools did not close in1985. It was my Sr yr and I had to skip school to go to the parade. My county government is closing for 3 hrs to allow for people to go to the parade. Except for public safety (sworn and civilian) and district court. I am a life long Royals fan, but closing schools is a bit much.

Not only was Fox having issues, Google Fiber TV went out right at the start of the game. It finally came back on in time for Fox to fall apart. Frustrating to watch, but still cheering on our boys!

Oh I don't think that's fair. I'd hate to discount a child's future based on their name alone. Have you seen the research on that, though? Even acknowledging the difference between correlation and causation, your name is related to all kinds of things from how likely you are to be suspended from school as a kid to how likely you are to be hired to how people view your workplace favorability. It's not to say that Xstacie won't become CEO of a major global company one day, but it is to say that statistically speaking, a name like hers is not the one that appears on the door of the C-suite, probably due to a variety of factors. Exactly my thoughts. I'm not discounting their future. Xstacie could drop the X and go by Stacie. Allotte can drop the middle name. But historically, you do not see many non traditional names.
