I've kept a journal since I was a junior in high school. It's a nice, "safe" place to talk about my feelings about people and things going on in my life without feeling like I am being judged. Some is funny, some is exciting and happy, and more from when I was dealing with depression after my twins were born, and more from having to deal with my narcissistic bipolar mother. I always feel better after I've gotten my feelings out. Friends don't always want to listen to you vent, but my journal has never let me down.

Our Golden also sees dog beds as expensive chew toys. She's destroyed two. I think it's her way of telling us she prefers the couch.

I'm a little sad. We noticed today that our 15yo DD has scoliosis. I don't think it's too bad, but my mother has completely freaked out. She's convinced that I will ignore it and my daughter will have to suffer for the rest of her life.

I was so painfully shy and afraid of what others thought of me. I have started speaking up for myself without fear. Letting all that go and being myself is so liberating!

Ugh...I'm going through this now, too. I have a friend who is documenting every single possible detail of a trip to Disney that is a surprise to her daughter. Posts like a trip to the airport coffee shop, carrying the car seat through the terminal, blowing bubbles with gum, the video on the plane. They just got there yesterday, but the posts started three days ago and I have counted 18 so far. This is going to be a long week!

The wristbands are good for all the rides, not just the little ones.
Unfortunately, since I live in the area and go frequently, it just seems like a mall to me. IMO they've taken so much of the fun stuff out. They do have a ropes course that goes from the second floor to almost the ceiling of Nick Universe. If you're not afraid of heights, it's a good time.

Theo James! I saw Insurgent last night, and he's even hotter than in Divergent. *swoon*

My girls are fraternal, but when they were toddlers they would talk to each other in their own language. Now that they are 12, they still say the same thing at the same time. Sometimes I can see them looking at each other like they could be reading each other's minds. They say they don't, but they get this look that sure makes me wonder! I don't think it would be as strong if they weren't together all the time though.

I have g/g twins that we kept together for kindergarten. Their teacher recommended to split them up because they were co-dependent. One twin was used to speaking for her sister and at times it was an issue. Separating them has actually been a good thing. The more introverted twin has come out of her shell, and they have made their own friends and have gone after their own interests as opposed to feeling "tied" together.

I finally gave away my two pans that made six mini bundt cakes. I think they were a wedding gift, never used in 15 years.
Also about 15 years ago, my mom bought us a gas grill, but it HAD to have a spit for roasting. I have never even considered using it in all that time. It has sat untouched in my cabinet since the day we got it. I feel guilty about chucking it, though.

Whenever I see one of these threads, I always feel so sorry for these kids. I have a normal name, but spelled unusually. It's been a problem for me for as long as I can I remember. I hate my name. It's Leighanne. Very, very few people can pronounce it. For some reason, they are compelled to pronounce every single letter. I've had every thing from "Leg-hayne" to "lay-ga-haw-nee", to "uhh...Miss ____". My mother wanted to name me Christina, but my dad didn't like it, so I got what my mom called just some generic name that she made pretty. I really wish they had given it more thought. You see I wouldn't have any problem with that name and I bet the rest of us British refupeas would agree with me. I know two with that name. One is spelt your way and the other is Lianne. Both pronounced as Leeee anne I can't see what anyone would find difficult in the pronunciation of Leigh. Maybe I need to move to Britain? I'd like that, it's my dream. Honestly, I think the problem is that it's not a name like Amy or Elizabeth, that pops off the page as familiar. If it were spelled with a capital A, I don't think as many would get it wrong. I thought I wasn't passing the problem onto my kids when I named my daughter Michaela. Not many can pronounce her name either. She gets Michael-uh a lot.

I was too afraid of my mother to ask her for anything. She worked nights as a nurse, so she was always tired and cranky. I was so shy and sensitive that it was easier to "hide" and not call attention to myself for fear of her mood. My younger brother on the other hand was not afraid to ask for anything and pretty much got whatever he asked for.

We have Sprint, and there are dead zones. Not nearly as bad as T-Mobile's though.
We have 5 smartphones. 20GB of shared data, unlimited talk and text. We are buying three of our phones on a payment plan, so we pay more, but for just the plan, we pay $230.

I have three...
Friend One: Please for the love of God stop posting pictures of your cat. Multiple times a day. Oh, and you dress your six-year-old like a street walker.
Friend Two: Please stop posting the same posed selfie multiple times a day...you are 41 years old, not 14. Oh, and the more you gush about how wonderful your husband is and how much he spoils you, the more I don't believe it.
Friend Three: I get that you love animals. I just can't take anymore photos of dogs who have been mistreated or hit by cars, cats that have been set on fire, etc. It makes me afraid to look at Facebook for fear of what I will see next.

I would like a walk in closet in the master bedroom. I don't like that I only get four feet of bar space and I have to dig behind my clothes to reach the shoes I've had to stash back there.
I'd also like to change the layout of my kitchen cabinets. It's laid out to have a small eat in area, but with four kids, it's really not usable. I would like to put in more storage instead.

We are a family of six. Tickets are $9. Only combos are offered. Medium drink and medium popcorn is $11.75. Candy is $4. We don't typically go unless the movie we want is available as a matinee.

My vent is about my mother. She is the most selfish, narcissistic, self centered person on the whole freaking planet!
She has decided that she is tired of working, just can't tolerate it anymore. So she has figured out a way to receive disability benefits to pay her while she tries to get a craft business off the ground. She is currently at a craft show, and needed to use my van to get her stuff there. She didn't ASK, she just told me. So, I told her I needed her car. I held my keys ransom for hers, otherwise she'd "forget" and I'd be screwed. Now she is mad with me.

My friend just went two nights ago to see him. She said he was out of breath a lot and he commented "I am a biscuit short of 260 lb." She said it was very funny but he was definitely not what he was. She had a great time though, and Trisha Yearwood was there also. I went to the show on the 8th, and he said exactly that. We stood for the entire concert, you couldn't see otherwise. He was very energetic, but out of breath and sounding like he was about to lose his voice. There was no opening act, but Trisha Yearwood came out halfway through and sang a half dozen songs. It was a great show, lots of fun.

I am having issues with my great great grandfather. He completely disappeared shortly after my great grandmother was born. My great great grandmother remarried five years later with her marriage certificate stating her husband died, but I can't find a death certificate or an obituary.

I hoard Terry's chocolate oranges. There are other brands out there, but Terry' s are the best! I also loved Millstone peppermint coffee, but it's not available in stores anymore.

I am the oldest. My brother is 4 and a half years younger and is still babied at 36yo. My parents for some reason always preferred him and were/are not aware that it's painfully obvious. Even when I've pointed it out. Me on the other hand, has always been expected to do the right thing and behave the right way and take care of myself.
