Two years ago, my brother cut off contact with our parents and myself for no apparent reason. He is my mother's favorite child, and she has been very upset about the whole thing. About a month ago, he started talking to my mom again, but won't talk to me until I apologize for what I did. I ask my mom to tell me what he thinks I need to apologize for, but she says she won't tell me. It's between me and my brother. Now she is crying and begging me to just apologize so she can have her family back. There is no way on Earth that I am apologizing for anything unless I know what it is and that I actually did something wrong! Especially when I can't come up with a single thing that I could have done or said.

This is mine too. I just don't understand eight hours of alternating between a mower and a leaf blower four days a week (from only one neighbor) I think you live next to my old neighbor from the last house we lived in. He would get his leaf blower out in the winter if the snow started to melt and blow leaves from the melted patches. He would also use his leaf blower to blow the street clean and blow the rocks into another neighbors yard. I heard that caused a huge row. Oh my gosh, we must! Mine blows all his leaves through the fence into our yard. When I know he's not home, I put them back in his yard. He also uses his snow blower to clear his entire backyard for his tiny lap dog to do his business.

Neighbors on both sides and behind us are retired so they have 24 hours a day to work on their perfect lawns. I bet they wish we took better care of our yard. This is mine too. I just don't understand eight hours of alternating between a mower and a leaf blower four days a week (from only one neighbor)

My girls are fraternal, as in they barely look related, much less like twins. I've had numerous people ask how can I tell them apart. After I give them this look: I say that DD1 is shorter and has long hair, where DD2 has short hair. So many have said that they never noticed a difference. These are people like teachers who see them on a regular basis!

I had to stop going to our Goodwill. There was a point in time when my kids were growing out of clothes so fast that I went twice a week looking for things and would go back on Tuesday when a specific color tag was $1.99. I started noticing that especially on denim, they would change the color tags so they didn't sell their jeans for so little. It was okay with me for awhile, but when they started doing it to the books I had to stop going.

We've had several roundabouts put into busier intersections in our neighborhood in the last few years. The people who don't live in the area are extremely obvious because they don't know how they work. I've been behind one car that was desperately trying to turn left instead of following it around, and almost caused an accident. A lot of times I get behind one who is so afraid that they wait until all the traffic has cleared out before they move into the circle. My favorites are the ones who are in the circle, but stop at all the yield signs to let the people who are supposed to be yielding, in!

I have three teenage girls and a 10 year old boy. I buy in bulk to save my sanity. Seeing all that stuff on my shelves lets me sigh with relief that I hopefully won't have to go to the store again for a month!

The recipe I use is SUPER simple. Put the pork (I use tenderloin, but most cuts would work) in the slow cooker with 12 oz of root beer. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until it shreds easily with a fork. Drain the liquid. Shred the pork and put it back in the cooker with a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. Mix it all together. You can serve it immediately (we serve it on Kings Hawaiian rolls - yum!!!) or keep it warming until you're ready for it. This is what I do, and everyone LOVES it!

I was in 6th grade, taking a social studies test. Our principal went from classroom to classroom telling all the teachers. I had a choir concert that night, and watched the coverage on the nightly news while I ironed my dress. It was the first big news "happening" that I remember in detail.

My younger DD was 3 when she got a buckle fracture in her right leg. She had a big purple cast that went from the first roll on her chubby thigh down to her toes. They didn't want her walking on it, so it was bent at the knee and the ankle to prevent it. That lasted about 4 days. She figured out how to get around. Little stinker. There really is no way to keep them down for long. This was my son exactly except his was a spiral fracture of his tibia.

I feel you. I end up wearing "mom" jeans because on top of the tall, I am also plus sized. I would have better luck finding a unicorn than I would to find decent looking jeans, plus/tall that aren't $100. Me too. Tall + plus size = finding a monkey on the moon, when pigs fly, when hell freezes over, etc. etc. Have you tried Torrid? I have a 35 and a half inch inseam and am a size 16. I have found jeans there that fit well and are long enough.

We also have Sprint. Service is okay as long as I'm not in my house, which seems ridiculous in a large metro area like the Twin Cities. Our bill is right around $300 for five smartphones. 20gb of shared data, unlimited talk/text. $27 each for two galaxy s5's and $13 a month for my dd's LG, plus insurance on my DH and DD's phones. Paying close to $30 a month in taxes and fees is what makes me mad.

We stayed at the River Street Inn years ago (ten, maybe?) and it was very nice. Very close to most touristy things.

I actually don't have a radio in my car. There was a wiring malfunction or something. The sound turned itself all the way up and none of the controls/buttons would work, so we had to disconnect it. I didn't have the money at the time to figure the problem out, so we've been without music for years. It's actually been really good for our kids because we get the chance to have un-distracted conversation time.

My problem with facebook lately is that I don't see anything that my friends have posted. All I see are posts of my friend's friends that my friends have liked or commented on. I liked facebook from five years ago when I could actually see what my friends and family were doing. I thought that was what it was for, not seeing what people I don't know are doing.

We don't have an HOA. We own our driveway, but only to 10 feet from the curb. The city owns the first 10 feet of all lots and we are responsible for upkeep.

My dd's nickname is Doodle, so hers is "Musical Doodle" from Spongebob. She doesn't like it, but I remind her that it could be the Krusty Krab Pizza song! Can you figure out what my son's favorite episodes are?

I won't shop at stores that sell incense and burn it. I know many people love it but I get wicked migraines from that smell/smoke, so I refuse to shop at stores with that in stock. I know some people think that's ridiculous, but I'm okay with it. This is me, too. I refuse to shop at Yankee Candle for the same reason.

I had a big old temper tantrum this morning. Granted, I brought it on myself for opening my mouth, but still.
We got a fresh Christmas tree this year. For some reason, this darn tree does not want to stand up straight. After fixing it last night only to get up this morning and finding it leaning again, I mentioned to my mother, who happens to live with us, that I was frustrated with it. She decides on her own to "fix" it. I told her several times to just leave it. She continued and after colossally messing things up, the tree is currently laying on the floor waiting for my husband to get home to help me which was the plan in the first place. Plus, all this was happening while I was trying to get my kids ready and off to school.
I have got to learn to keep my mouth shut when it comes to things I don't want my mother to touch and make worse. Next year I am getting a nice artificial tree and burn a candle for pine scent. So much unnecessary stress!

For the first time ever, I am not sitting on my bedroom floor on Christmas Eve having my legs go numb while watching endless "Christmas Story" and wrapping presents! But then my dad called and asked if he sent presents, could I wrap them for him? So "Christmas Story" and numb legs could still happen, I guess...

My brother hasn't spoken to me, my mom or my dad in over two years. He got a new girlfriend, and after she met each of us, my brother abruptly stopped talking to us. He moved in with her, changed his job and phone number. He's made it impossible to find him since everything is in her name, and we don't know her last name. I am seriously pissed at him and doubt that I would welcome him back easily. My mother on the other hand would be thrilled that her favorite child is back and wouldn't bat an eye at how he ignored her for so long.

I got one on Thursday, and I find it very easy to use. I have the original model so I'm already familiar with how it works, but the set up for the new one was much easier. I love it!

I wish I still had my first pair of Guess jeans. My mom refused to buy a "ridiculously over-priced" pair of jeans, so I saved for months to buy my own. They were acid washed with zippers at the ankles, and because I have freakishly long legs, about 5 inches too short. I wore those jeans until I absolutely could not get them on anymore!
I did keep one of what my cousins and I refer to as "grandma sweaters". Every Christmas, our grandma would knit each grandkid a hoodie. She always bought yarn from the discount bin, so it was fun to speculate what weird color(s) our sweaters would be that year.
